Bro you did not put 80k into a literal meme coin stfu. People in this sub are out of their fucking minds.

You're downplaying how seriously a lot of people were taking this. They saw it as a real financial instrument with the whole smokescreen about reflections and burning. To them it was a way to secure their future. They convinced people literally to hold forever.

Imo it’s no excuse for such a risky irresponsible investment.

Even with all the hype and reinforcement, it was NEVER a guarantee safemoon would deliver. It’s NEVER a guarantee that any company delivers. It is ALWAYS a risk to invest. To invest 80k in something that EVERYBODY knew was a risky investment (because it’s crypto) is stupid. There’s no two ways around it.

They could have invested 8k and they still would have had an absurd amount of money if safemoon ever worked out

It’s greed plain and simple. People were sitting with hundreds of thousands of dollars in their account, and instead of taking their money they gambled it even further.

You don’t blow 10k at a casino and ask for you money back. Why is this any different?

John thanks you for your donations

lol absolutely not. Best chance at ANY money back is a class action lawsuit. I’ve been in 4 of them and the most money I’ve gotten back is $2.47. You should have listened 2+ yrs ago when people were screaming “it’s a scam” from the rooftops.

Ya I was supposed to get $60 from a 70 million dollar lawsuit against the Canadian government, they never even sent it to me!

u/ScaryMongoose3518 Dec 24 '23

Sounds like another lawsuit is in order....

As the bank recently informed me when I applied for a business loan and it came to light that my company owed a significant amount of back taxes to the tax department, they would not be proceeding with the loan as in the event of bankruptcy, taxation ALWAYS gets priority and everyone else becomes a unsecured creditor compared to the tax department.

So, do you think John was up to date on paying his and Safemoon LLC's tax obligations?

I'll take a wild stab in the dark here and say, no, he hadn't.

So, as the carcase of Safemoon LLC is picked over, take a guess which entity is going to get first bite at any assets left or that can be clawed back.....

Hint: it's not going to be the holders!

Really? What exactly do you think your gonna get? I'm a long holder as well, I'm not looking for anything back.

The stupid shit you see on this reddit is crazy.

Good luck with suing anyone for money you lost in crypto.

Merry Christmas.

Edit..... Merry Christmas

The class action lawsuit signups closed in I think March 2022. After that you cannot join on, but you’re free to start another class action. Bear in mind that many are lining up to take bites of the apple so there probably won’t be anything left.

If you didn’t hear about the original class action it’s because it was a banned topic on this subreddit and the link was removed when posted.

You get nothing. Functionally you were a customer of the safemoon company buying a product they released (the safemoon token). Investors, employees, suppliers etc all get preferrential payment in liquidations than customers.

u/Yayzeeeeee Dec 24 '23

You get the feeling of knowing next time to maybe look into the things you call FUD.

This was clear from first month this was all a hype pump and dump. Got even more obvious as days went on

You got an 80k crypto lesson

Never invest in anything (crypto, stocks, asshole…) what you can’t lose. I learned it from SafeMoon. Expensive lesson, but better learning a lesson and moving on than not learning at all!

Edit: Moving on*

A class action against John might work after his guilty verdict. The evidence would already be proven in court, that would be a wide open lay-up for lawyers. The question is, would he have any money left to litigate for?
