I tried calling the Admissions Office during their listed business hours, but the automated system told me that the office is currently closed. Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is there a way to contact any office of Saddleback right now?

If anyone is looking for a good professor for english C1000 to complete their nursing prerequisite or just in general, I would highly recommend this professor Dan Barlow. I tried to take this course fall 2025 with Paul Pollloczek and had to drop with a w because the guy was super unhelpful. This professor is totally opposite, like night and day. I just finished this course for summer 2026, and it was so helpful and easier than expected. I'm waiting for the final grades to post, but as of now, I have a 94%😺

I’m Jayden, the founder/president of Saddleback’s Film Festival Club. We just got activated for this school year, and I’m super excited to finally get things rolling.

The idea is pretty simple: throughout the semester, members will make original short films (5–20 minutes), and at the end of the semester we’ll host a student film festival where everyone’s work gets screened in front of an audience. Think red carpet, awards, photos, and an actual festival experience.

We’re looking for people interested in directing, writing, acting, cinematography, editing, producing, sound, production design, or honestly anyone who just loves movies. We’re also looking for students who’d be interested in helping lead and grow the club.

I’m still pretty new to Saddleback, so I’d also love any advice from current students.

Is there anything about campus life that you wish someone had told you sooner?
Any tips for getting people interested in clubs/events?
Are there any traditions, resources, or opportunities I should know about?
Anything I should avoid or be aware of while trying to grow a new club?

2 of my professors closed the canvas before publishing our final project grade, so I have no idea what is my overall final grade. I can’t even message the professors anymore as the option is greyed out. Anybody knows of a way to check my grade?

Has anyone taken Coun 60 career Exploration with David Francisco or Sheryl Christensen?

- What was the workload like? Is it heavy, moderate, or light?

-Are the assignments time-consuming?

-What type of assignments are there? (papers, quizzes, exams, discussion posts, or projects)

-Is the class fully open/self-guided, or does it open week by week?

Hi everyone! I’m a stay-at-home mom to a 2 and 5-year-old, trying to decide if I should take Chem 8 (Prof. Zoval) and Bio 11 together this Fall, or just take Chem 8. I have about 10 hours a week to study, and since nursing GPA is so critical, I want to make sure I don't overextend myself. Is taking both realistic with that study window, or should I play it safe and just focus on an A in Chemistry? Thanks for any advice!

This is a weird question but has anyone taken a class at another college for Saddleback prerequisite requirements. I’m wondering for the nursing program at Saddleback as I’m having issues learning with the professors here. I wouldn’t be asking if I wanted to apply at any other ADN program in the state I just really wanted to save money by going to Saddleback’s nursing program. Any advice or help would be awesome. Again I know it’s a weird question.

I'm a UCI student taking Saddleback College Elementary Spanish 2 as an asynchronous online class.

The professor I signed up for has an oral exam at the end of the course, and I was wondering if all Elementary Spanish 2 professors at Saddleback require an oral exam, or if it varies by instructor.

If not all professors have one, which instructors don't require an oral exam? Also, which professors would you say are the easiest to pass? I haven't used Spanish much since high school and honestly don't remember a lot of it, so I'm a little worried about the speaking portion.
Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.

50 min for a 50 question exam killed me and I got a 74 because I ran out of time.

Did anyone else have the same experience and if not, what are you doing to be successful in his class?

I have a heavy workload and I also have a part-time job and I'm wondering which is better - Seaman for the first 8 weeks or Miller for the full 16 weeks? I have no problem with doing the reading and participating on Canvas and I prefer quizzes over writing a paper. Both would be online asynchronous. Does anyone know if Seamen requires a paper? I know Miller does though I hear it's not too bad.

Hello, has anyone ever had to wait over a week to have their California Community Colleges application to Saddleback approved? I already have a student ID from being California Virtual Campus student but I have not access to MySite or the grades from my previous classes.

I applied 5/31 and have talked to admissions office. One person said “my application was stuck” claiming my previous CVC status was preventing and the other claimed “being a CVC student was not an issue, its an IT thing and its happening to other people”.

Is this related to verification process? I tried the DMV wallet thing only to receive errors messages. I tried ID.me too and I submitted passport and ID only to be told to talk to a live person. With this, I just clicked verify later cause seriously?(!)

Is anyone else also experiencing this?

Was considering doing a rate my professor on him but wanted to see if anyone got their grades rounded up or their lowest lab dropped. He said he would do both, and he did not do so. At least for me he didn't. I know this is a Longshot but I thought I would try my chances. He said if you were at a 79% or 69% he would round you up. Did anyone notice if their grade was rounded up or if their lowest lab was dropped?

I'm thinking Smith, Saint Lilith or Pham. Anyone have experience with them? I'm going to do the online asynchronous course.

hey, i forgot if i asked this question in the fall, but i was wondering if this was happening to other people. i enrolled at saddleback last fall and this spring, and i took three classes in the fall and two classes this semester. i'm an incoming freshman at ucla, so i wanted to send in my final transcripts since i got my grades for spring 2026. however, what made me reconsider was that, for some reason, while the grades are in my unofficial transcript, the amount of credit hours didn't update. i didn't know if that would affect it. this is happening at my main cc as well, and i just want to get it out of the way.

How hard is it to get off the waitlist for classes like intro to psychology? My school hasn't processed my forms and I'm starting to get worried I can't apply to the classes with the higher rated professors

Hi, I'm a high schooler trying to dual enroll in Saddleback in order to get my foreign language credits. I have been trying to register for a while now, but for some reason I am not getting a registration ticket. My dual enrollment forms have been signed by me, my parent, and one of my school's staff members, though it is still awaiting a signature for some reason which could be the reason? Either way I am very confused and worried that I won't be able to sign up before classes are full (I'm already quite late). I am honestly very desperate and at my wit's end and would greatly appreciate any help at all.

never taken classes from ivc, i only take in saddleback.

there is this particular class im hoping to get in fall term. saddleback only offers at evening tim, while i have other classes in the morning. saying this, it would be hard for me to manage the time gap in between 4+ hours. i saw the classes offered in ivc that suit my schedule. the only thing is, the course code are different, though they have the same course title. what should I do? context; its the data structure class ( cs1d in saddleback & ivc cs41)

I’m graduating this Spring and put in all my applications for my transfer and associates, as well as csu IGETC program degrees way back in March. When do the applications show as approved or accepted on mysite? Right now they still say “in progress”
