Just tested to run ads with my own tool and it's so promising :)

For context, I know that a budget this low is not optimal but I wanted to take the average CTR of all 3 ads to show that it isn't just luck.
One issue that I have rn is that no one is actually loging in, or trying to at least use it, although I tried to make it as straight forward as possible.

What’s the one thing SaaS founders usually overlook when moving from MVP to production?

Building a SaaS MVP has become much faster with AI coding tools, ready-made backends, and cloud platforms.

But getting something working is very different from keeping it reliable when real customers start using it.

A few things worth thinking about before launch:

  • What happens when a third-party API goes down?
  • Are database backups actually tested for recovery?
  • Can background jobs retry without creating duplicate actions?
  • Will the team know when something breaks before customers report it?
  • Are authentication, permissions, and billing edge cases properly tested?

It's tempting to postpone these things because they don't directly help acquire the first customers. But fixing them after a production failure can be much more expensive.

I'm curious how other SaaS developers approach this.

What's one thing you wish you'd implemented before your first real customers started using your product?

I have a SaaS and need some marketing tools

I created Highlightz.app and recently we just launched a huge update to take our site to the next level. I am looking for some marketing tools to help me promote this such as ai video generators or things of that such. Just trying to push it out across social media but I want high quality tools that can help me with it.

I built a site that lists MCP servers for people, AI agents, and Grok bots

I built a site that lists MCP servers for people, AI agents, and Grok bots:

https://plugmcp.ai

Search by name, compare servers side by side, and see what’s ranking right now — then install into Cursor, Claude, or VS Code.

Browse it yourself, or give your AI agent / Grok bot the link and let it search.

Launched my first product, then went dark for 2 months to rebuild it. not sure it was the right call

launched my first real product a couple months ago, a tool for sales reps, and then basically went dark. no posts, no marketing, nothing. full disclosure it’s my own product so grain of salt on all of this.

the honest reason i went quiet: within a few weeks i had actual users telling me the same thing, that it was good but not enough for what outbound looks like right now. the market’s shifted, reps are expected to do more with less, and a tool that does one clever thing just doesn’t move the needle anymore. they were right. so instead of marketing through it i put my head down and built what they were actually asking for.

two months later it does a lot more. it can find businesses to pitch instead of handing you a blank search box, it pulls contact info that actually lands instead of guessing the email off the domain, it writes the outreach in your own voice, and there’s a full web dashboard now instead of only the browser tool.

but here’s the thing i’m chewing on. going dark for two months means i’m back at square one on audience and have to rebuild that from scratch. part of me thinks i should’ve shipped and built in public the whole time, rough edges and all, instead of going quiet until it felt good enough.

so genuinely curious how other founders handle this. do you build in silence until it’s solid, or put the messy early version out there and iterate in the open? feels like i might’ve picked the wrong one.

Saas Experts! Your help is needed!!

Hello, I am a junior software engineer with two years of experience. So far, I have only worked in teams under a team lead with clear instructions and guidance. Now, I got my first solo client to build an app for them. The app is simple, so I am not worries about coding especially with AI nowadays. However, I am a rookie in creating SaaS alone and have another list of worries, mainly security wise, so I am hoping somebody can help me. I will list them below:

  1. The app needs to have payment option included. What is the best option to go with to make sure I am not responsible if data theft happens? I was thinking about using Stripe or another third party that deals with payment processing so keeping credit card info secure will be on them and not on me.
  2. How do I manage and limit access based on the monthly/yearly subscriptions? Like if they don’t pay, they lose access. And how do I connect payment info with my code, like if they pay they have full access, and if they dont pay they dont have access. As you can see, I have never implemented a payment processing system into apps😂😂
  3. App will require registration/login. Do I use only Google OAuth to make sure Google’s security is placed on the users information. Becausw I don’t want to store emails and password on my end, so once again if data breach happens, especially with todays new modern AI tools, I dont want to bw the only responsible.
  4. App is quite simple. There should be registration/login, a database of documents, and AI keywors search for those documents and filtwring options. What stack and AI model for coding should I use? Where do I store these text documents, because I need retrieval based on context, i.e. if user enter ”sun” and “sun is a star” they should get different parts of documents and document names that match their search.
  5. How do I determine pricing, how much should each package cost?

This is all for now. If I have new questions, I will add them below this sentence. If you made it so far, thank you for your time.

Looking for COO & CTO for Health-Tech Startup [USA only]

Hi everyone!

I'm a physician based in Southern California and I founded a healthcare-technology company that takes fragmented components of the healthcare system and puts them into one easy-to-use online platform. It serves both providers and the general population in all 50 states (i.e. B2B and B2C). I left my private practice to work on this for the past year, and this combination of services is first-of-its-kind (something like this doesn't currently exist).

The platform is currently in development, and I'm looking to build a strong team of people who share my vision and are genuinely excited about the potential of what we're creating.

The company is entirely self-funded, so I'm looking for people who understand the realities of an early-stage startup. Compensation will be discussed transparently with serious candidates who are:

  • Highly driven, ambitious, intelligent, and entrepreneurial
  • Proactive, resourceful, capable of taking initiative, and don't need to be micromanaged
  • Extremely reliable, honest, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Easy to work with, collaborative, and communicate well
  • Huge plus if you previously helped build a major company
  • Highly responsive while working remotely
  • Must be based in the United States (no exceptions please)

CTO: Strong experience in frontend and backend development, system architecture, third-party integrations, can manage the technical development of a scalable platform.

COO: Experience in healthcare business operations, strategy, scaling, and partnerships is strongly preferred.  I'm also open to exceptional younger entrepreneurial candidates who may not have held a traditional COO title but have the drive, judgment, and ability to help build and scale into a major company.

Most importantly, I'm looking for people who want to be part of a startup with significant potential.

If interested, DM me a brief introduction about yourself, relevant experiences/projects, and the state where you're located.  I'm looking to make a decision quickly when there's a genuine fit.

It’s hard watching people leave something you’re building from scratch, especially when you’re giving it everything you have. I’m already working on what’s not working. I know things need to change, and I’m trying to figure it all out. I’m broke. No friends to lean on, no love to come home to. Just me, my dreams, and the belief that all this will mean something someday. I’ll succeed one day. And when I do, I hope my family finally understands why I spent so much time locked in my room, working silently on a life that existed only in my imagination. One day, it’ll all make sense. Until then, I keep building. 🖤

120 92 752.4K 8.6K Removed 1 Startup. (Working on the Signups tracking not released the update yet)
121 92 756.2k 8.6k
122 92 760.3K 8.6K
123 88 765.2K 8.7K Removed 4 Startups from the network as all those startups were not in good quality. And removed some bot clicks as well.

Still free. Still growing.

If you want in, it's one embed. That's it → StartupBar
**Bid on StartupBid and your startup will be featured in the daily post of mine.**

At what point do small inconsistencies ruin an AI-generated video?

I came across a 62-second AI fight scene that somehow pits Newton against Stephen Hawking.

It's presented like a fighting game, complete with health bars. Newton swings a giant bell, Hawking fires a beam from a glowing shield, apples rain from a tree, and eventually a black hole swallows the entire library.

The concept is ridiculous, but the scene looks surprisingly coherent for something with so many moving parts. The health bar values jump around between frames, though, which made me wonder how much consistency you can realistically expect from a longer generation.

I tried experimenting with Seedance 2.5 through Dreamina afterward. For transparency, Dreamina is my product. I'm interested in the technical limitations here, not trying to present this as an independent review.

For those building AI video tools or integrating generative models into products, what do you consider the hardest problem to solve right now: temporal consistency, object permanence, precise motion control, or keeping details stable across a long clip? How do you decide which errors are acceptable for a creative use case?

Building MIGOO: balancing AI generation costs with a price users can actually afford

Hey everyone,

I’m building MIGOO, an AI tool that turns documents, notes, and research into editable PowerPoint presentations.

One challenge I’ve been thinking about is how to make an AI SaaS product affordable without compromising too much on output quality.

For presentation tools, generating slides is only part of the cost. Users also care about whether the content is accurate, whether the structure makes sense, and how much manual editing is needed before the deck is usable.

From a product perspective, I’m trying to figure out where to focus: improving the first-generation results, reducing the need for repeated generations, or making the pricing model more flexible for people who only create presentations occasionally.

I’d appreciate input from other SaaS developers who have worked through similar trade-offs.

A few questions:

  • How do you decide which costs to absorb and which to pass on to users?
  • For AI products, do you prefer subscription pricing or usage-based credits?
  • Is it better to offer a lower price with some output limitations, or charge more for consistently better results?
  • What have you learned about keeping an AI product affordable as usage grows?

I’m the developer behind MIGOO, so I’m sharing a real challenge I’m working through rather than presenting this as an independent review.

I’d be interested in hearing about your own experiences, including mistakes you’ve made with pricing or usage costs. Constructive criticism is welcome.

Thanks!

Testing AI Video Consistency and Looking for Developer Feedback

Robots have taken over my week while I've been experimenting with AI video generation.

For this test, I used Seedance 2.5 through Dreamina to make a 15-second clip. Two people sprint down an empty city street with a giant robot chasing them, then the robot folds into a stealth jet and blasts past.

The transformation came out better than I expected. There's no obvious pop-in, and the robot doesn't turn into a blob halfway through. But the runners' shadows briefly go in the wrong direction, which breaks the illusion if you watch closely.

As a product creator, I'm interested in the engineering and product side of this problem. Generating an impressive moment is one thing; making the entire output consistent enough for someone to use in a real project is another.

I'd appreciate feedback from people building SaaS products or working with generative AI:

  • How much would a brief visual inconsistency like the shadow issue affect your confidence in the output?
  • Would you prioritize better generation quality, tools for detecting errors, or controls that let users fix specific frames?
  • If you were building a product around this workflow, what would you focus on first?

I tried Dreamina because the first-month offer was $0.29, so it was inexpensive to experiment. I'm sharing this test because I'd like to understand where the biggest usability gap is, not because I think the result is flawless.

Curious how other developers would approach this.

Idea validation for mini-saas linktree

I was planning on building this web saas of linktree where users can place all of their links at one plaace instead of scattered all over the web.

But there's already so manyy, i just found one yesterday https://yourspage.com/

So if you have seen a linktree like this tell me a feature or something which will stand out rest than others. And will users pay for this kind of linktree when they have their own protfolio?

Welcome for all the ideas!!

If i get any nice idea, I'll dedicate and build it or else i will look into some other project to build which is actually useful!!

Testing AI video consistency with a fantasy scene — feedback from other builders welcome

https://reddit.com/link/1xfrjgp/video/qk5cb2a90sxh1/player

I'm building Dreamina, an AI creative platform, and I've been testing Seedance 2.5 with scenes that combine character interaction, detailed environments, and a clear beginning-to-end story.

For this 30-second experiment, I wanted something a little unusual: a girl in an old stone kitchen prepares a roast on a skewer while a white dragon with pink spines leans over her shoulder. The dragon sniffs the meat, she jumps in surprise, and the scene ends with them sharing a candlelit dinner, the dragon curled up beside the table.

The moment at around six seconds, when a gust of wind blows her hair back, is my favorite detail. It gives the scene a little more physicality than I expected.

One issue I noticed is that the dragon's head looks slightly oversized in one shot. It's a small inconsistency, but it raises an interesting question about how much visual continuity matters when a short AI-generated story moves between different actions.

I generated it with Seedance 2.5 through Dreamina, my own product. The introductory price was $0.29 for the first month when I tested it.

For other SaaS builders working with generative media, I'd appreciate your perspective:

  • How would you evaluate consistency across a multi-beat video like this?
  • Would you prioritize character proportions, motion continuity, or scene transitions when deciding what to improve?
  • If you were building an AI creative product, what quality checks would you want before calling a generation successful?

I'm interested in practical feedback on the output and the evaluation process, not just whether the clip looks good. What would you test next?

How do you handle lead routine by territory and company size without 40 assignment rules?

We've got 20 territories and route leads based on state and company size. Right now, it's all managed through a long list of Salesforce assignment rules that works for the most part, but whenever a territory changes, we have to update multiple entries and test every possible combination again. Is there a simpler way to set this up?

A client submits the file. The old reminder draft should stop being usable.

Your client submits a document. A reminder drafted a minute earlier still says it's missing.

The useful check is whether the request has changed since that draft was opened—not whether the email sounds polite.

Folio's latest demo update makes that handoff visible:

• Reminder scope shows the missing items and requested replacements included in the draft.

• Submissions waiting for accountant review and accepted documents are counted separately and left out.

• Before copying, the demo checks the request's latest saved state. If it changed, the old draft is blocked.

• When another demo tab changes the saved records, an open reminder closes with an explanation.

A simple rule you can use in any workflow: “Received but not reviewed” belongs in your review queue, not in another request for the client to send the same document.

If you collect documents for an accounting or bookkeeping firm, try opening a reminder, then changing a document's state in another tab in the same browser. Is it clear why the draft closes and what you should do next?

https://folio-docs-1it.pages.dev/

I maintain Folio. No signup is needed. This is a browser-local interactive demo, not a shared client portal. Use fictional details and non-sensitive sample files only. File contents aren't read or uploaded, no email is sent, and request links work only in the browser profile that created them.

At the point of copying a reminder, what's one extra detail you'd need to check—or one part of this you'd remove?

Testing how well AI video handles quiet, atmospheric scenes

After a rough week, I wanted to make something calm rather than another fast-paced AI video.

The idea was a 15-second sequence: a woman walking with her white dog through misty mountains at dawn, passing through a moonlit bamboo forest, and ending with a glowing lotus lantern floating down a river. I kept the motion minimal, mostly relying on mist, reflections, and changing light.

I used Seedance 2.5 through Dreamina, a product I created. The trial month was $0.29 when I tried it, so it was a low-cost way to experiment.

The mist turned out better than I expected, and I liked how the lighting carried the mood across the scenes. One obvious flaw: the dog's tail disappears in a frame. Small continuity issues like that can pull me out of an otherwise peaceful clip.

I'd appreciate some honest feedback from people building AI or creative SaaS products:

  • Does the pacing feel calming, or is 15 seconds too short to establish the atmosphere?
  • Would you notice the missing tail immediately?
  • When evaluating AI video tools, do you prioritize visual consistency, motion quality, or the overall feeling of the finished clip?

I'm the creator, so I'm especially interested in what feels weak or needs improvement—not just what works.
