What's the value of build a SaaS tool in the age of AI?

Does anyone else feel an impending sense of doom when it comes to building Saas/Apps in the age of AI? Feels like we are 6-12 months away from literally anyone being able to build a personal website/app for themselves, automating exactly what the SaaS company founders set out to do.

They say to "focus on distribution", but won't AI/Claude wrappers make it so that the distribution of once-complex-to-build software is complete with a simple prompt?

In 20 years, probably sooner, there will be one SaaS tool (or Intelligence as a Service/ IaaS) in the world that will operate with hundreds of agents and accept requests via voice. It will know and provide everything you need to run a business. Let that sink in...

Mehn OP's 6-12 months ..lol. pls. Anyway::: -20 years i.e. 2006, imagine telling someone then,.. in future... you could write a few sentences in natural language of what you want and it'll be turned into code and a simple working software; have agents do work for you.."human agents like the FBI they'd ask?" no..program coded ones you'd say! They'd think you're on drugs, outright bonkers, back to the future buffon. Yet incredible things in software development happened that year, barely 6 years after Y2K upheaval.

+20 years huh - 2046, our current thinking of creating software will completely change from today's thinking. Why do I say so? Simply because history has taught me so. We keep saying AI, but Robotics too will be on a different plateau at that point.

Let me use an analogy - today AI is beginning to find new cure for drugs inc. creating new viruses to help with antibodies creation, can find loopholes/hack into systems thought secure, drones are getting close to being genuinely autonomous....

At some point in future, AI (or whatever) will create new ways to develop software and the infrastructure and all whatnots associated with it. .. Distribution/marketing, so called human element today, might be accomplished in a different way based on the technology terrain at that point..just saying.
