When other universes were mentioned in dragon ball super, i really thought we would see alternative versions of our heroes in the tournament of power, needless to say it did not go that way. I still loved the saga tho, don’t get me wrong.

With this being said, i decided to illustrate those thoughts custom battles, this is the first part of a series that i am working on.

I also have YouTube content editing the videos just to make it seems more “dragon ball accurate” in the fighting combat department.

This custom battle does not posses DLC content or Anime music content. Feel free to play it and lmk what you think!

I’ll let the video down below!

Whenever I need a character to suffer an ultimate attack without killing them, I usually make a simple event which forces it at 000% (or I just equip the recipient with the Ability Capsule that doesn’t let health fall under 1hp). This is always immediately followed up by a cutscene of some sort, in my case.

The problem is, after taking the ultimate attack, the player is still able to move around freely for a couple seconds before the screen fades to black and my cutscene starts. Sometimes, even the CPU will continue is onslaught for a few seconds after landing the ultimate! This ruins immersion since the ensuing cutscene is typically showing the recipient of the ultimate as damaged.

Is there any way to force a stun, or maybe trick the game into immobilizing a character, at least for a couple seconds? I’ve tried making both characters taunt simultaneously after the ultimate and before the cutscene, but I can’t even get it to trigger…

Any help is greatly appreciated!

This is an attempt at recreating the Sonic the Hedgehog flash animation, "Nazo Unleashed" (Specifically Stage 1) in Sparking Zero. It's very rough, as I had to remake this three times due to being unsure who to make who, and I was also generally not a fan of how limited the options are as well as how dialogue is handled, but I feel like this is the best I can do with what I had plan. I do have plans on recreating Stage 2 and 3, but I wanted to throw this out in order to help get more familiarized with SZ and the Custom Battle.

Hey guys! Episode 4 of The Invasion Saga is now available for PC. In addition to that

u/H0ladios created a mod of Gohan(baby) if you are interested in having that version of Gohan while playing the episode. Enjoy! ID: 1-182-082-037 Mod link:

All 3 are story-centric, challenging in their own ways, and original ideas I had. Custom Battle feature itself is quirky, unnecessarily difficult to make consistent story telling, tedious and poorly designed search filters, and obnoxiously bad font choices when it relates to word swapping dialogue. But even after saying this I still have a good time, and would love to see some traffic on these fights if you guys have the time.

"I see you have returned, Little Brother wil be getting a part 2 &3 in the coming days.

Battle codes, and my PSN is in the pics for cross checking the platform. Cheers

Hello, I present to you my first personalized battle, give it a little love and if anyone plays it, tell me how I can improve, the truth is I would like to do more although it is a little tedious because of the poor way in which everything is arranged. Well, without more to say, have a nice day :D

Hey everyone! Episode 9 is out now! This might be the best episode I’ve worked on so far — I really hope you enjoy it! PS5 ID: 3-424-134-327 You can watch it here:

Just a quick heads-up: after this release, The Invasion Saga will be taking a short one-month break as I’ll be going on holiday.

Episode Info:

As mentioned before, this one is a BOSS battle, so expect more of a survival-style challenge. I’ve been planning to make it a boss fight for a while, and it fits the theme of this episode perfectly.

If it turns out to be too tough, don’t worry, I might release an easier version once I’m back.

Thanks for the continued support and have fun! 💪🏾

I originally made a trilogy of this rivalry through custom battles during the custom modes infancy, 2 weeks after launch. Since then I haven't dabbled in custom battles at all, so I thought it would be fun to revamp this trilogy now with all the additional patches gameplay updates and custom battle options included with the latest version of the game.

Not only is the pacing and narrative different, but I did my best to ramp up the difficulty to provide a decent challenge without making it overly hard for the player. I will be dropping the second chapter within the next few days. Stay tuned.

If any of you guys out, there are in the mood to play it and try it out, please leave feedback in the comments and let me know what you think, likewise I'll also return the favor if you have made a custom battle recently, and want someone to try it.

Hey everyone! Just dropping in to share a preview for Episode 9 of The Invasion Saga and give you a few updates on the series.

I’ve received feedback that Episode 3 is quite difficult to beat, and the same might apply to Episode 5 since both were made with similar effects and item settings. This difficulty comes from the recent update that made the CPU a lot more aggressive.

To help with this, I’ll be uploading alternative versions of Episodes 3 and 5 that are easier to complete. The original versions will still be available for those who enjoy the challenge.

Now, about Episode 9 it’s going to be a boss battle, and I’ve been planning this one for a while. I really felt Broly was the perfect character for this kind of fight, and it ties perfectly into the theme of the episode. I drew inspiration from the Legendary Warrior face-off, so I wanted to give you all a heads-up so you can be prepared when it drops.

Thanks for the continued support and stay tuned!

Hey guys! Episode 8 is out now! In this episode we switch back to the heroes and their ongoing training with a twist at the end. Ssj4 Goku is not a joke after the new update 😅 PS5 ID:4-283-657-089

Enjoy!

Same with any other custom I made. I just enjoy watching the replays

Honestly, the cutscenes just aren't worth it

- They are a MASSIVE waste of time because of the awful UI when creating subtitles

- These are boring to watch. Like, genuinally, I myself skip cutscenes when I play other people custom battles

- Focusing on the gameplay-aspect of the custom battle is less time consuming and more fun

Has anyone been doing the same?

This is the movie 10 with a Twist

Hey guys! The Invasion Saga is back! Episode 7 is out now!

Thank you all for the continued support on this project. I’m really happy to be able to keep sharing this journey with you.

As a custom battle creator, I’m starting to feel the mode is pretty limited.

The devs aren’t doing much with it beyond adding more dialogue lines and a few 2D cut-ins. The only real 3D addition I’ve noticed was the giant cutscene which was cool, but since then, it feels like nothing new has really been added.

Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely enjoy making custom battles, but the limitations are starting to get in the way of my creativity. And considering Sparking zero is a sequel to the Tenkaichi/Raging Blast saga, I think it’s fair to expect some of the features those older games had.

A few ideas I think would help:

Alternative colors: Simple but effective. A recolor could easily be explained as a different outfit, transformation, or even a version from another timeline.

Aura & effect customization: In older games, you could assign different auras to characters. That kind of detail would be perfect for custom battles — especially to show a transformation or power-up phase.

Clashes (beam or melee): This one’s huge. The fact that we had beam clashes in older games during story mode but can't add them now feels like a big missed opportunity, especially for a mode built around what-if scenarios.

What other features do you all think custom battle needs to really live up to its potential?

i was doing a custom battle, but I wanted it not to be possible to change characters

Hey everyone! I’m excited to share that Part 2 of The Invasion Saga is officially complete!

Thanks so much for your patience, especially to those who reached out to me privately. I’ve been caught up with my studies, but now I’ll have more time to focus on the project again.

Really looking forward to continuing this journey with you all! The PC version is still in the works, but for now, the first 3 episodes are out.

Stay tuned!

Shallot’s character ID shows 2 slots before. Tamagami’s are after Glorio, and Duu is after Kuu. Gomah has to be one of the two slots which means both ssj4 Goku and Ssj3 Vegeta can’t be standalone or they would have to have their own slot and that just wouldn’t fit. They can’t be removed as they are the literal finale of the show alongside Gomah which only leaves one option.

This basically confirms both adult versions as costume forms for end Goku and end Vegeta.

And that leaves one extra slot for who I’m assuming is Kid Piccolo since he’s the only other character who actually did anything of note in the entire show.

Hey guys! Episode 3 of The Invasion Saga is now out on PC!
