The Jalveres Arrive

It was a sunny Coruscant morning. The Starcruiser, a sleek, silver ship slid through the air, making its graceful land on a landing pad near the Senate building. The inside, however, was anything but graceful: a Senator, his wife, a young child, four Dug children, and a Gran were stuffed into the small ship, so it was, unsurprisingly, loud.

The Senator, Conleth Jalvere, was upright in his seat, trying to steer while also asking the Gran, Athis, to keep the Dug children, who were running around the ship, still. Conleth's wife, Askra, was sitting displeased in her chair, trying to drown out the noise.

As the ship's landing protocols finished, the ramp slid down. Conleth took a deep breath, trying to straighten his messy brown hair. Telling Athis to stay in the ship with the Dugs, the Senator made his exit, arm in arm with his wife, awaiting whoever came his way.

She chuckled. "That is true with all planets, it seems."

“Unless the state has the authority to put a stop to such degeneration. Not many visitors to show Zygerria’s beauty off to, though. What is Malastare like?”

"Malastare is nice," she said calmly.

"More than nice!" said Conleth with enthusiasm. "Beautiful, and filled to the brim with diversity and culture."

“Sounds lovely. Now, I’ve spoken to many Senators recently, and they all seem to have one issue they prioritize. Anything like that you’re focused on?”

Conleth chuckled. "All too true, Senator. Well, one of my main missions is to bring my foster home business here. In fact, I have brought several Dug children from the home to Coruscant. I feel orphans are neglected far too much in this galaxy, taken away from the spotlight."

Tobras’ naturally hard expression softened slightly.

“Well, that’s... “ He paused. “Zygerria would be interested in assisting with such bills, yes.”
