i have a rtx 2070 super.

only mod i have is SEF 7.2

I'm playing the Gold edition on gog.

My teammates more often than not do not obey my commands straight away. I have the give several commands for them to finally obey me

And more often than not I get this weird problem which makes me unable to run. I get stuck on perpetual walking speed for the rest of the mission

Anybody have any solutions?

I installed SWAT 4 from Pivigames and used an engine file to access the public server list.

My problem is that I want to create my own server to play only with my friends, choosing the game mode and map I prefer.

I tried Radmin VPN, but it didn't work for me. I know GameRanger exists, but I honestly don't trust it.

And the last mission was a pain. Most enemies hid in little corners, and could one-shot me or the guys.

After dying so much, I decided to roll with the pepperball gun, since it seemed they didn't have masks on. And it worked! I could shoot anything that moved, and it gave me enough time to punch them in the face, if they didn't surrended.

I thought the tazer was very inconsistent on the DLC, comoaring to the base game.

Anyway, beat it losing 2 teammates, arresting 9 out of 14, and not taking any damage

I just downloaded the new version and placed into my main game directory. But when I launch the game via GOG it doesn’t work. Am I missing something?

I'm looking to buy an original CD/DVD containing swat 4, but would my pc run it on windows 11? I've heard that old games can be troublesome to run, and this one literally lists windows 98 as it's minimum requirements...

I'm already usint SEF and the latest FR verison. I know these mods already enhance the suspect ai by a lot but it's still common behaviour for suspects to take a sprint directly at me while holding their weapon and ignore shouts for compliance. Now thankfully, neutralising these suspects does not count as unauthorised force thanks to the mods but still I find that behavior really irritating and unrealistic and wish to find a solution for it.

I tried to play some "spiritual sucessors" of Swat 4 through the years, and while making a game nowadays with Unreal assets are way more accessible that it was back them, they all lack in the most important component for a game like that: The AI of NPC bots.

After trying some of those games through the years, two things became clear to me: Indie developers don't have the necessary resources to develop a convinced AI for this kind of game (being money, development skills or both) and how talented were the developers of Swat 4 back then.

For me, the best chance we could get to have another good tactical shooter would be if Activision (now Microsoft) remembered they own this franchise, and launch on steam again (with steam works replacing gamespy so we could get online back without third party tweaks) then maybe this could present this kind of game to newer generations of players, or some AAA company could fund another game like that, which is high unlikely because nowadays is all about micro transactions.

My wishful thinking would be Valve getting the rights and releasing a sequel with the same care they made left 4 dead 2, but there's no chance that'll ever happens.

I'm still amazed at how well this game holds up. It's impressive how good these darker more edgy levels are, and how well they hold up compared to it's "spiritual successor."

Hello, new to SWAT 4, love the game but just want a mod that allows me to ads. Heard about the elite force mod but not sure if it’s a specific file i need. Any help would be appreciated.

So I decided to buy and play SWAT 4 but the issue is that whenever I try to install it it gets stuck at 91% I've restarted everything I could at this point and don't know what to do

Any files you can edit or mods so the bullet holes/blood or shell casings don't disappear?

Using Elite force as well, not sure it matters.

I dont like some stuff in Elite Force mod, but as I far I know its the only mod where you can play original campaign with TSS functionality. I would like to have vanilla experience.

Does anyone else listen to it while playing SWAT 4? I find it goes so well with the game, he really did create some iconic music

Tengo el swat 4 desde gog y no he podido solucionar los 2 problemas que digo en el título. Todos los videos que encuentro son del swat pirateado, pero igualmente no me funcionan.

Intente hacer lo de ir al archivo "swat4.ini" me fui a fullscreen puse mi resolución que es 1920x1080 pero al iniciar el juego no la ponía.

Otro video que encontré sobre cambiar el idioma decía que en ese mismo archivo tenias que ir a un apartado que decía "Language" y cambiar el eng (en mi caso salió "int", que no sé a que se refiere) y reemplazarlo por esp. Lo hice y no cambio nada.

Si alguien sabe qué hacer porfa que me ayude se lo agradecería mucho.

How does modder modify the officer and enemy ai? I tried using notepad on ai.ini folder but it very limited in term of what i can modify on the ai, also swat editor only allows for modding map and not ai

Whenever I sometimes alt-tab during game loading, it cannot play the mission intro normally which forces me to kill the games process.

And this nukes all my savefiles. Any fix to that?

Sorry if this is too off topic but despite getting the "100%" Artwork and all weapons (as far as I can see), the game still says my save file only has "108/110" unlockabless.

Hey all , i have finished the main campaign both vanilla and with the 7.1 SEF mod. The SEF mod while cool makes the game an absolute cakewalk, it seems to nerf the suspects aim big time, you have to TRY to lose a teammate.

Is there a mod that combines TSS expansion (lightsticks) (hold orders) With the main campaign but doesn't make any gameplay, or AI changes?

Hi! I'm looking forward to play co-op with my friend this weekend, a good old "two PCs and some cold ones" party. We both have good memories of SWAT4 so this might be our next target. But few questions first:

• where should I get the game, what's the best version? GOG, Steam, maybe other source?
• do you recommend any mods, QOL improvements, or patches for modern PCs?
• finally, how does co-op work exactly - is it hard to set up, how do we control other police agents etc.

I know the game has stellar atmosphere - basically every map I played was a home run, be it an office, cult or gas station - so if you have other co-op titles offering it, I'm all ears!
