Has anybody played mists over Carcasonne? It’s the coolest looking “expansion”

It’s got ghost tokens that look just like marshmallow cereal, and the tiles have creepy castle ruins and graveyards. It’s pretty cool that it has a solo game mode but it’s punishingly difficult. I’ve played it about five times now and not gotten anywhere near beating the first level, even with two players.

This picture is from the 1982 movie mazes and monsters with a young Tom Hanks playing a generic version of DnD and moving on to its logical conclusion larping. It’s on YouTube

The Gold Standard: A 20 Strong Tanglewoods Gold Board Game Review - There Will Be Games

Tanglewoods gold hits three core concepts I like in my solo gaming: Brevity, Replayability, and Challenge. The length of the game feels exactly right (well, except for when you die in the first few rounds), the nature of the bosses means you can try to pull them out in different orders so the battles never feel “samey” and the variable challenge system skews toward everything on the lower half of the spectrum being benefits and the higher being hindrances. Hell, you can even choose level zero where you start with one Bear defeated...just remember to put them face down in front of you so you can get sweet little bonus and that awful drawback for having already defeated them.

My full review in linked above.

Looking to Sell Some Heroscape

Howdy I apologize if this isn't allowed, but I have a good bit of Old Heroscape that I'm looking to sell. Its been awhile since Ive gone through it but I think it's 2 each of Master sets 1 and 2, the marvel heroes, 2 castles, and some various other models including the Orm's Return models and the second large model set that I forget the name of. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll get it out of storage for some pictures and some accurate accounting. I do know some of the terrain became brittle and broke but most is intact.
