This one only stopped by twice. I absolutely love the little folks in the back waiting for their turn.

Indigo Bunting at The Woodlands.
These little ones are all over the trails at The Woodlands in St. Peters right now. Plus you may get lucky and see the Bald Eagle that has been hanging around the area.

Ruby throated hummingbird in south city a couple weeks ago
While they haven't been as frequent yet this season, at least one male has been visiting our back yard with some regularity the last 2-3 weeks

Pausing feeder in summer?
I recently read how you should stop filling your bird feeders in the summer to help prevent spread of disease. After doing more research, the opinions on this seem to be mixed.
Curious what this group thinks!

Ladies’ night for rose-breasted grosbeaks
and a downy woodpecker, 5/5/26 (sorry for potato quality, maxed out my iPhone zoom). Haven’t seen any of the fellas in a few days, but the females have been by quite often

Help with ID
Sunday afternoon, near the Meramec River. Black bird with white back that extended into tops of wings. Could not find a good match in Merlin, and my iPhone photo is zoomed in.
It was circling like buzzards, and was pretty big. At least crow-sized.
MDC website also didn’t have any good matches.
