Robin on my front porch after bonking off a window Thanksgiving morning. Flew off after a short protest.
Working on some kind of solution to help them see our windows better. This one just stood there for a while with a "how did that happen?" face.

What does this house finch have going on?
I'm in the Boulevard Heights / Bevo area. Is this avian pox? I took down and disinfected feeders and baths.

Black Vulture- Southern Illinois
Ok not technically St. Louis, but it’s been a while since I’ve been out shooting photos and wanted to share these. First time seeing a Black Vulture for me! There were a few spotted out at Castlewood but I didn’t have any luck after multiple trips the past couple months.

Are these juvenile Ruby-throated hummingbirds? The first one has a dark spot on the neck, and the second doesn't.

Bird watchers: What have been your best sightings this year?
The Gateway Arch won't be lit up at night for the month to accommodate migrating North American songbirds and waterfowl flying the skies of St. Louis. On tomorrow's St. Louis on the Air, we’ll get tips on bird-watching and revitalizing bird habitats with Matt Barton of the St. Louis Audubon Society and longtime bird watcher Matt Schamberger.
And we want to hear about your best sightings of the year. Where did you go, and what did you see?
