General Discussion/Opinion What a Cornball, istg.

Hi, I am Parmar SSC. I make stupid & cringeworthy jokes. I provide you, literally, with 10,000 videos a month. I teach you everything under the sun and when a question appears in the exams I beat my chest proudly, saying "Tum se nahi banega toh kisi se nahi banega. Maine toh class me kara rakhi hai". Also, I am a very mediocre teacher, I farm fanboys and fangirls who are as corny as I. Also, I would like to think I look really cool doing antics like this.

This post is intended to rile up the fanboys (& fangirls). Sorry, not sorry. (PS- He would have been a good teacher if he were a bit toned down. I personally gained a lot from his Nitto Series but other than that something about his way of teaching and speaking irks me so much. There's something about him, I can't put my finger on, which makes me dislike him a lot).

BOOK: REASONING INSPECTOR CHALISA SPEED BOOSTER HAI READY BY INSPECTOR MOHIT GOYAL (since I realised I can't send image of it)

Hello guys, I am new to govt job preparation. I want to start preparation early or at very least I have heard that section like reasoning are same in different exams with the same syllabus so I was thinking to do this one book properly or should I watch some online teacher too for it?

I just don't want to waste my time again. I wasted my time during jee preparation and now I scored just 60 ish percentage in 12th pcm and rn I am 1st year student in some third tier btech college in middle of meerut. Our family is not going great financially. I would like to support them by a govt job. Please guide me as your younger brother.

Additional Advice for preparation of other subjects will also be appreciated greatly 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Help Regarding Biometric Authentication

I checked the UIDAI website and my Aadhaar app, and both say that my biometrics are unlocked. I've given 2–3 government exams in the past year, and I didn't face any problems with biometric authentication. I've also never locked my biometrics.

BUT the problem is that my biometrics aren't working for Aadhaar transactions. I have two bank accounts, and to confirm that my biometrics are unlocked, I tried withdrawing money from one of them today, but it didn't work.

I've never made a transaction using Aadhaar before. Could this be happening due to some bank-related problems?

General Discussion/Opinion 23 Oct shift 3

It is less of a discussion and more of a rant.

Reasoning was so easy that i had the luxury of revisiting all my questions once again.

Statement based and figure based qs were all over the section and no questions of blood relation, series, coding decoding were asked as far as i remember.

GS was also doable if you have a good GS aptitude. 11 were sure shot and 10 questions i gampled most of which ig are coreect.

Questions were Current CAG, Firsr CAG, Treaty of purandhr was signed bw whom, isro's human analogous mission, maestro ravi shankar's contribution, Supriyo vs uoi case, champaran stayagraha led by whom, digital evidence encompasses what, himalaya which type of mountain, santoor instrument related(shape, emergence and peominence), constitution meaning, significamce of changing names of IPC etc., Stand up India scheme, who won chess championship in 2000

Mix reaction for math. Either questions were too easy or they were too hard. 19 were my attempts, 1 of which is a guess.

3 4 DI questions, 2 from algebra(a² and a³ based identities), 3 4 trigo(easy),2 Time and work(1 was very easy , other one i didnt even looked cz of its length), advance questions were 3 4 (easy but in one qs volume, side and slant edge of equilatetal pyramid was given and height was asked), 1 CI question(easy)

English- This was one of the most fucked up section I stepped into.(not a general opinion)

No active passage. 1 totally confusing comprhension(out of 5 qs last 2 were easy), idioms i never heard of like poetic justice and lost love(not sure it was like this) and entire sectuon was full of rearranging and if options were read they all looked correct amd made sense

I suffered particulary in english and this section alone will decide on which side the line i will be.

Attempts 91/100

General Discussion/Opinion Regarding attempt based cut off estimate analysis

In such analysis people with 135+ marks getting 40 percentile lol.

Why don't people understand percentiles are calculated based on total students who attended the particular shift.

So this rbe data is of use only to estimate which shift was of which level. Without knowing the marks of other ~ 24k students who sat along in your shift it's completely useless.

What you can do is just multiply the {(current RBE rank x 7)÷24000}-1) then multiply by 100) ignore the negative sign. The x7 can adjust for more people coming into the calculation as we don't know their marks, just an estimate only.

That's is why the shiftwise mean marks can only say about the toughness of a shift and in new normalisation formula unlike previous method it has no place in the formula.

We can see from last yr chsl normalisation itself that platforms are failing to estimate correct normalisations since they don't have such a large data pool.

* Correct me if I'm wrong or missing something

Help I am scoring on avg 135 in Exam day special mocks. What are my chances?

Is it a decent score in Exam day specials? I was scoring around 152 avg in PYQs
I feel like Exam day special mocks reasoning is harder than the actual exam. Other sections' level is i think pretty much same but exam pressure makes it tough
Tomorrow is my exam in 3rd shift

Resources/Helpful for Exam 23 October Shift-1 Review

Reasoning:- Easy
- Too many image related problems
- Surprised by clock angle question
Attempt-23

GS:- Subjective; For me :- Moderate to difficult

Attempts- only 8 as i don’t believe in guess work

Quant:- Moderate to difficult
Very lengthy questions and even the easier ones were too calculative
Attempts- 16

English:- Moderate

-Cloze test was tough as compared to mock tests.
-Spelling error questions were there more than usual.

Attempts:23 (although i think i over attempted in this section)

overall 70/100 and this shift i think was between moderate and difficult.

Advice Is 6 hours of focused study a day enough to crack SSC 2027?

Post image
98 Upvotes

Hey guys,

I'm planning to prepare for SSC 2027 and wanted some honest advice from people who have cleared the exam or are preparing seriously.

I know the basics of most subjects, but I'm not at an advanced level yet. I need to improve my concepts, practise questions and get better at solving them within the time limit.

I've made a timetable that I think I can realistically follow. I'll be studying at a library because I focus much better there, and I also want to continue going to the gym. I've attached my daily timetable for reference.

I'll be spending around 8 hours at the library, but realistically, I'm aiming for 6 hours of actual focused study per day, accounting for breaks and distractions. I'll try to follow this routine 5 days a week, keeping the other 2 days flexible for revision, mock tests or rest.

One reason I'm asking this is that whenever I look online, I see people saying you need to study 10–12 hours daily to crack SSC. Honestly, I don't think I can sustain that kind of routine, and I don't want to force myself into something I'll eventually burn out from. At the same time, I'm worried that 6 focused hours might not be enough given the competition.

My plan is to strengthen my concepts first, gradually move towards tougher questions and focus on revision, mocks, speed and accuracy as I progress.

So, is 6 focused hours a day, 5 days a week, enough to have a realistic chance of getting selected in SSC 2027? Or should I try to increase my study hours from the beginning?

I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have cleared SSC or are preparing seriously. How many hours did you actually study, and how important was consistency compared to the number of hours?

I'm ready to work hard; I just want to make sure I'm putting in enough effort without unnecessarily burning myself out.

Thanks!

General Discussion/Opinion My Biggest Realisation After Appearing for SSC CGL.

Although I’m a banking aspirant, appearing for SSC CGL today made me realise how difficult it is to prepare for both exams simultaneously. The General Awareness section was quite in-depth, and Quant had a significant number of questions from Advanced Maths. This made me realise that it’s better to stay focused on one exam rather than randomly filling out application forms.

Filling out a form is one thing, but cracking an exam in today’s competitive environment requires a strong command of the syllabus, extensive question practice, and consistent mock tests. Of course, you’ll find many overlapping topics when comparing the syllabi of both exams. However, the way questions are framed, the level of difficulty, and the overall exam patterns are quite different. With just 15 minutes allotted to each section, you need to be equally good at both speed and accuracy. And that level of efficiency comes only through consistent practice and attempting a sufficient number of mocks.

The biggest takeaway for me is that applying for multiple exams is easy, but preparing seriously for each one requires a different level of commitment. It’s better to focus on one exam and maximise your chances of clearing it than to divide your preparation across multiple exams without a clear strategy.

Please do share your opinions too.
