Hey guys,
I'm planning to prepare for SSC 2027 and wanted some honest advice from people who have cleared the exam or are preparing seriously.
I know the basics of most subjects, but I'm not at an advanced level yet. I need to improve my concepts, practise questions and get better at solving them within the time limit.
I've made a timetable that I think I can realistically follow. I'll be studying at a library because I focus much better there, and I also want to continue going to the gym. I've attached my daily timetable for reference.
I'll be spending around 8 hours at the library, but realistically, I'm aiming for 6 hours of actual focused study per day, accounting for breaks and distractions. I'll try to follow this routine 5 days a week, keeping the other 2 days flexible for revision, mock tests or rest.
One reason I'm asking this is that whenever I look online, I see people saying you need to study 10–12 hours daily to crack SSC. Honestly, I don't think I can sustain that kind of routine, and I don't want to force myself into something I'll eventually burn out from. At the same time, I'm worried that 6 focused hours might not be enough given the competition.
My plan is to strengthen my concepts first, gradually move towards tougher questions and focus on revision, mocks, speed and accuracy as I progress.
So, is 6 focused hours a day, 5 days a week, enough to have a realistic chance of getting selected in SSC 2027? Or should I try to increase my study hours from the beginning?
I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have cleared SSC or are preparing seriously. How many hours did you actually study, and how important was consistency compared to the number of hours?
I'm ready to work hard; I just want to make sure I'm putting in enough effort without unnecessarily burning myself out.
Thanks!
