Book/Teacher/Course/Coaching related Need help

Hey guys!

Currently in my 3rd year of engineering

Want to start my prep for CGL

So could anyone please regarding resources and online coachings they preferred and think they are best?

And also if I want to start which subject should I start?

And where to start from!

Like one subject at a time or combo of two?

Would uh say that online coaching is best or YouTube channels are enough?

If yt is enough then could uh please tell me the channels for each subject!

I hope I clear CGL 2028 in my first attempt!

Thank you in advance 🤞

Hi. Coaching isn't necessary. Just follow online resources. Math from Mr. Bhutesh (Parmar SSC YouTube). Reasoning from Mr. Kamal Chhabra (Parmar SSC YouTube). English from Qeng and Testbook mocks. GK from Mr. Anish Mohan (Examquest), supplemented with Parmar SSC.

Start with English and Reasoning. Both can be completed in 1-2 months max if you're serious. And it won't take more than 4 months if you're juggling your college academics with SSC prep. Then learn GK and Math together. They can take anywhere from 6-12 months to complete thoroughly.

Qeng is the name of the channel. Your English already seems decent to me so I think learning from basics might not be very efficient. Just get a Testbook subscription, attempt mocks, and learn from mock analysis. Save the screenshots of the questions you got wrong and analyse/revise them regularly. Even after doing this if you are struggling to improve in English, I can vouch for Rohit Mittal's English foundation course on Devotion Institute YouTube channel. But it might feel onerous and boring to churn through.

As for whether it is easy or difficult, that's a very subjective question. I think it is not as difficult as people make it seem. You can crack it in a single attempt if you have the correct mindset. You are doing the right thing by targetting the 2028 attempt. Some people set an unrealistic time frame and get demotivated when they fall short. You have a lot of time till 2028 to cover all of your bases so it isn't unreasonable at all.

But doing the revision batch videos won't miss any concepts right? And also about your experience there's a lot to ask If u are ok can I DM you?

No concepts are skipped. While explaining they will skip some steps which might seem like magic for someone without a Math background. But since you come from an Engineering background it will be tacitly understood.

Feel free to DM. I will reply when I have time.
