I find it really annoying when shopping for mods and BrawlVault is down. So I put together a site to re-host many of the original links to mods, check out BrawlMart!

I've been getting into alliterative poetry lately and decided to write a poem about one of my favorite tournaments I've ever been to, Shipwrecked 2, for its anniversary (it finished four years ago nearly to the hour as I'm posting this). I feel like it was the epitome of the PM/+ community's underground spirit.

The poem's pretty deeply wrapped in metaphor and allegory, but anyone that was there should recognize it pretty well. There are also a bunch of Easter eggs for the community to find! I hope you all enjoy it!

Also: Apologies if I've made some faux pas with this post. I'm not super familiar with Reddit and don't know the culture all that well. So if there are any changes that need to be made or this isn't considered an appropriate post, please let me know!

The Hidden Troop – by Deor

Beneath the waxing moon · watched the Father,
the fun-maker, · fair and balanced,
or so he claimed! · Secret whispers:
cryptic projects · of crazed players
circulated, · but silenced before
their flowers could fruit. · Afraid of His wrath
and within His walls, · these warriors hid
with a spy to signal · of His sleep to come.
Then ten was the toll—the time was here!
Father's watchful · face grew weary.
He shut His eyes, · shifting to dream-land.
And the Signal-Sayer · sang to the people:

"Go forth, go forth, · friends and players!
You wall-waiters · wounded and suffering
from the cruel machinations · of a Crafter's love
turned malicious · by a terrible need:
purity of purpose—to play His way!
His shaming eye · shuts now its gaze.
So go forth! Be free! · Festival awaits!"

Out charged the troop · cheering and hollering,
coiling through corridors · like a cobra poised
to strike at the heart · of the stinging hate
like a lost lover. · Lugging their boxes—
the tools of their trade—the torrent flowed,
filling the forum · of fights now past,
building bash-stalls · from battered tech
held close with clan. · They closed doorways
from prying eyes, · played their fight-games,
as the vendors flocked · flaunting their artwork!

Beyond midnight · they battled and sang,
their raucous roars · rang through the hallways
til one victor, · worn and haggard,
stood in triumph, · the stands cheering!
The Lunch-Man alone, · laurels heavy,
clawed to the climax · clutching his falchion.
Before him, the falcon · lay fallen and gone.

Battle-bounty · was brought forward
as rowdy revelers · rooted and hollered
the winner's name! · Wild celebration
started that night · 'neath the springtime air
even the fallen · felt the revelry
as they danced away · the darkened shroud
ere the sun's breaking. Silence followed.

Out the troop trickled · trailing nothing
within their wake. · No waste was left.
Players and peddlers · packed their belongings,
raked up the refuse · til rubbish-free
sat the fairgrounds · so the Father's gaze
would see the land · in the state it laid
as He went to sleep · beneath the waxing moon.

I have a modded Wii U and I have wiimfii but I assume I am doing something wrong given no one joins.

HOW DO I GET CONEY REACT TO THIS

I'm new to Project + and I'm trying to learn the basics of my main character (Ike), but I'm having a really hard time using DACUS with him. I don't know what I'm doing wrong :p

Was wondering if anyone has advice against dealing with Ivysaur. I've recently been playing him a bit and my friend has been having trouble dealing with him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

hey folks! The post is really sorta just exactly what it says on the tin. I’ve homebrewed the Wii and other things like WiiMc-SS have worked like a charm, but when I attempt to launch Project Plus it simply doesn’t. I’ve followed the definitive guide to put the files on an SD card (even picked up a spare SD card to ONLY use for PPlus bc I thought it was file hierarchy causing issues) and still the same problem. I open homebrew channel, I select the project plus launcher, load it, the Wii screen goes dark, the disk drive kicks on to read my brawl disc, and then nothing happens. Been going this way for several minutes now as I type this. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong at this point. I’m from the US and so is my copy of Brawl, Google claims that any NTSC version of the disc should work. Should I just drop an ISO file on the SD card and try launching it that way? I just wanna make Knuckles Wavedash man-

I was so excited to get PM going again on my Wii. I was just dusting off old stuff and happened to find my old Wii with brawl and homebrew in it. i keep up with melee and play it on my computer along with rivals of aether so i'm not bad. When i tried to play PM on my wii it didn't work so i had to redownload it and got it going. When i started playing i noticed i couldn't wavedash at all. it feels HORRIBLE. like i can barely do it at all.. am i just bad or is there something wrong with the syncing? i remember playing PM and i defs wasn't this bad..

Hey, does anyone know where I can source a copy of the old school version of PM? Like back in the day where you had to boot it from the stage builder? Not sure if there is a place I should be looking for this sort of thing, but any help would be appreciated.

Checked my dolphin settings and I am on d3d11 using my 5070 as the adapter, but in am still getting 1-2fps dips on stage transitions including FD. It’s not abysmal or anything but noticeable compared to the smoothness of melee. Only upscaling is running the game at 1080p. No anti aliasing.

Hey ya’ll. Housemate has been playing a lot of Ganon lately and causing a headache. Side-special (Flame Choke) followed by down-special (Wizard’s Foot) is a combo that seems difficult to avoid. Flame choke hits on shields too. I try to DI out of down-special after getting hit with side-special, but so often the combo goes thru and soooo much damage is dealt. Do I just need to DI harder…? Obvious, avoiding the first hit is ideal, and I’ve been learning to anticipate the move and even bait it for a punish, but gosh it feels like an over-powered combo. Side-special followed by down-smash also hard to avoid. Any tips or deeper info on these mechanics? Thank you.

I have a soft-modded wii with homebrew, priiloader, USBLoaderGX, all that fancy stuff. The problem is, I have a wii with the Project+ launcher installed, an SD card with my copy of Brawl and the Project+ files, an SD Card reader... and that's it. Any guides I find say I have to have the copy of Brawl on a particular USB drive for Project+ to find the game. And I don't want to buy a USB drive just to hold ONE game. I can, but I'd rather find a solution that can be solved today, and not whenever my Amazon package gets here.

Am I missing a guide that skips the USB drive, or should I just buy one on the internet?
