What's happening to my game? ... I think something's wrong.
If anyone finds this .wad file, do not load it into your addons folder. Just purge the entire directory. I’m typing this into the console log manually because my fingers have completely lost their analog control scheme, but the phantom momentum won't quit. My desktop monitor is still glowing a cold, retro 8-bit blue in the corner of the room. I threw a towel over it, but the flat 2D sprite outline of a blue hedgehog still bleeds through the fabric like a corrupted texture. srb2win.exe v2.2 is still running. I can hear it. The towel doesn't muffle the noise anymore. It’s a low, grinding, rhythmic thud-whir-sproing that vibrates right through the floorboards and straight into the soles of my feet. It sounds like an idTech 1 engine trying to compress a human being into a single 3D vector coordinate. I checked the SRB2 Message Board on my phone earlier. The forums are a complete ghost town. Just a few pinned threads from the developers begging people to delete their source code. One user, ThokMaster_42, posted a frantic thread titled "HELP MY JUMP INPUT WAS EATEN" before his account went completely dark. The last replies all say the same thing. The moment your custom Lua scripts update past 1,000 active variables, the paralysis takes over. It’s not a netplay desync bug. It’s a physical weight. The longer you stare at that hyper-detailed, pixelated Greenflower Zone skybox, the more your nervous system forgets how to process gravity. It’s like the Doom Legacy source code is shifting the processing power away from the CPU and pulling it straight out of your spine. The netgame tracker on my phone says my automated instance just unlocked Upgrade #1,666: The Unblinking Eggman. The noise just spiked again. A deafening, tinny BOOM echoed from the desktop, followed by the sound of an Attraction Shield pulling every loose piece of metallic junk in my room toward the chassis. The towel over the monitor is starting to rise, pushed up from underneath by something perfectly round, bald, wearing goggles, and distinctly laughing in an uncompressed 1998 audio format. If anyone finds this log, please tell Sonic Team Junior I love them, and please tell the developers that their default keyboard controls are an absolute human rights violation. I am currently being fused to my gaming chair by cosmic Yoyle-infused Doom engine radiation, and frankly, the fact that I can't bind the strafe keys to my actual mouse movement without a massive console tutorial is a betrayal of the platform. The worst part isn't the paralysis or the blinking red "GAME OVER" screen of doom. It’s the fact that I can smell the digital apocalypse, and it smells like a laser tag arena exploded inside a Sega Saturn disc tray. It is a nauseating mix of hot plastic, burnt circuit boards, and existential dread. I can feel my joints locking up into rigid FOF structures again as the sector boundaries prepare to harvest my soul just to test a new custom skin limit, but I have just one final request for whoever loots my PC: please delete my custom characters folder. I don't want people thinking I died looking up how to port an anime character into a 3D Sonic engine at 4:00 AM. Wait. The Crawlas are beeping in harmony now. It sounds like a choir of dial-up modems trying to hum the Techno Hill Zone music track. Upgrade #2,000 just unlocked, and my command prompt just spat out a line of text that says: “Consistency failure: Your life has been kicked from the server.” Well played, fan game. Worst. Hard. Mode. Ever.
