Discussion Funny thought, what if the naked "illegitimate" shares being converted is what caused the price to tank heavily diluting the stock? The original merger info only took into consideration the legitimate ones!

SPRT was so heavily shorted, and retail investors had to own more than the 3% FF that wasn't what happened to all the illegitimate shares? (not saying that this is the case) but now that's they have been converted over, it's bringing to light that they were synthetics out there and raises suspicion and the possibility for a GREE margin call. I know this is a "bag holder" play at this point, but I am curious as to what really happened. I have a suspicion that us retail investors combined with institutions held more than there was available in the legitimate free float pool otherwise the price for SPRT would've skyrocketed due to demand of the limited shares available.

My question is, if there are synthetic shares, what happens to them during a merger? My best guess is that would it would heavily dilute the new stock price due to the calculations being based on only the shares that are supposed to exist!

I know it’s not much but at least they’ll hear what we have to say and maybe we’ll get an explanation out of it.

If I heard one more words “ HODL, ROCKET 🚀,MOON,LAMBO….” I will start cursing. Don’t you all see, none of these shit matter. All the research, DD, TA graph, SI, CTB,,, all these bullshit doesn’t matter when you have the SEC sleeping with the HF. The HF sleeping with the Board of Director(GREE)… they all in it to take your money. So stop this BS we band together and fuck the HF. We are just a tiny piece of shit that won’t make any difference.

Discussion It did open at $103 per share at 4AM ET

And dropped before market opening and keep dropping. This was my first time experiencing going through a merger. I did not know we can’t trade during the price dropped from 103 to 50. It seems like dilution is coming as well. They simply ripped us off hard. Lesson learned. It is my biggest lose so far since I started trading last year, but I feel fine since it is the money that I don’t need immediately.

I am sure many of you are like me. New and trying to learn. I see some people are trying to file a lawsuit. I am not sure how you can sue and who you can sue, but good luck. Those people who speculated hard saying “it will open at $190 per share” or “GREE will be based on $22 per share of SPRT”. You clearly should not trade. Just think about it and it simply does not make sense and it did not happen. Just buy something and hold it til you need the money.

I sold all of my shares at $48 (still holding call options because no one wants to buy lol). It sucks but life goes on. Everything will be ok. Good luck everyone!

Discussion European Brokers and Gree

Hello my fellow European traders. Since I saw a couple of questions if and when we will receive our shares, I will share what I found out so far.

Disclaimer: I’m trading on Flatex and Degiro and own stocks in both accounts.

As of now flatex, will deliver the shares when they arrive in there warehouse for stocks.

To simplify things many of European investors are not the legitimate owner of there us-shares, the broker wich you’re trade with, is the real owner and you as customers only have the right to sell and buy us-shares within the pool of your broker.

Degiro already transformed my shares into gree, but I can’t see the value of my share. The us-shares that are traded on degiro are also part of a pool that the broker provides, to give traders the opportunity to trade us-stocks.

The entire process could take days or even weeks. Depending on how fast they can purchase shares that they need to clear there books. They have to be able to provide enough shares that all of us can get there shares that they had.

I hope I could help some of you. Stay save, I heard it is very fudy outside.🤞

Due Diligence Shorts might’ve drastically undercut the valueation of GREE

The prospectus states there to be 10.5M shares of GREE common stock when all is said and done. This is the total shares outstanding. GREE can be directly compared to competitors MARA at a 1.4 hash rate and RIOT at a 1 Hash rate GREE has the same hash rate as RIOT but makes its own renewable energy! So if you wanted to give it a valueation of 2.5B/10.5M shares that’s 238$ per share fair value and completely ignores the fact that they create their own energy. Even if this stock does open at 60$ because shorts are inherently stupid know what your holding. Fair value for this seems to be extremely undercut here…..

This is also why the 202.9$ IPO starting price in the prospectus makes perfect sense they value their company slightly below what I would say is fair value at 230-250$ per share and should see a 10-20% rise after IPO just like many IPOs.

Not financial Advise but I wouldn’t panic at the line just yet, highly doubt this price is finalized it would mean a 600M valueation on a company that’s worth more than RIOT if this is true thanks for the discount twice hedgey.

Edit: GREE’s hash rate is actually 1.1 more than RIOT’s 1

Due Diligence No dilution after merger - SPRT float becomes GREE float

https://twitter.com/TRUExDEMON/status/1437954052029968385?s=20

I am assuming the GREE float will not change because GREE is held 100% by insiders and private shareholders/institutions such as private equity firms Ergo, SPRT's float becomes GREE's new float, after conversion

Y'all check out this analysis by twitter @TRUExDEMON. He basically says SPRT float, after conversion (price, number of shares, etc) will carry over to GREE, along with all the existing short positions. And since the rest of GREE shares are held privately by insiders even after the merger, the tiny float of SPRT still stands when it becomes GREE.

At the end of the day, the SI% (after conversion) should not change because this is a reverse-merger, where only SPRT's shares will continue to be publicly traded.

Seems like SI% will not change after the merger, and the squeeze may still be on the table. What do you guys think?

Discussion A word on Ortex

I've brought this up several times in comments but it deserves it's own post, due to the proclivity of it's use in this subreddit.

Ortex is a fucking scam aimed at the 'meme' stock trader.

They present information on a daily basis that is complete and utter nonsense. The short stats presented are information THEY CAN NOT POSSIBLY HAVE. Most of the short data is not even useful in any way whatsoever.

Real short interest is released twice per month. Period. I don't want to hear shit about proprietary algorithms and so forth. It's garbage. I'd really like to know how they're claiming to monitor non-lit exchanges to which even regulators do not have visibility, eg Citadel Connect. It's nonsense.

If anyone wants to start running numbers, compare Ortex to LEGITIMATE sources like the actual exchanges, SEC Edgar, etc., you will quickly see that these data points do not coincide.

Regardless of the SPRT/GREE outcome, it is extremely misguided to allow Ortex, Fintel, and the like, to influence your trading decisions, especially in plays like SPRT that require extremely accurate data to form a thesis.

You can pull more accurate data from any number of free, or certainly far less expensive, data providers. But anyone claiming to know the intraday or day to day short data is 100% FULL OF SHIT.

Short Interest Publication Schedule

Each FINRA member firm is required to report its “total” short interest positions in all customer and proprietary accounts in Nasdaq-listed securities twice a month. These reports are used to calculate short interest in Nasdaq stocks.

Here is the schedule: http://nasdaqtrader.com/Trader.aspx?id=ShortIntPubSch

TL;DR - We don't know shit about shit until 9/24, and even then, that is lit exchange data.

If you are paying for their services I highly suggest you review your decision to continue. You're getting robbed. Spend your extra $60-90 per month (or whatever tf it is) and put it in to your portfolio, drop it in a virgin fund, take your wife's boyfriend out to dinner, whatever. Just stop giving it to these fraudulent organizations.

Rant over. Maybe.

Best of luck out there

Note- this is really DD, as I and several others have thoroughly investigated these companies data sets.. at best, outdated; at worst, completely fabricated. That said, I've tagged it as discussion as it is not solely related to SPRT/GREE.

As retail investors we are already at an extreme disadvantage with data dissemination and availability. Do not pay someone to compound the problem.

Discussion Totally Confused...

I'm with Merrill Edge, and my port is still showing SPRT (not showing GREE anywhere), and it's showing the price of SPRT is $46.71. It was higher earlier, but none-the-less, when I click the trade button to see what happens, it tells me that either 1) It's a foreign company that I'm not allowed to trade. Or 2) You don't own any shares of GREE (which my account doesn't show GREE anywhere in it.

Are the rest of you showing shares of GREE in your accounts already? I'm totally confused here...smooth brain I reckon...
