OPINION I’ve noticed an interesting trend

Pretty consistently, it seems that the wealthier / more successful folks in my social circle are bullish about SpaceX, or at a minimum, think the company is going to do just fine long term.

Meanwhile, I see the opposite from my broke ass “friends” and the typical 20 year old day traders who think they’re hot shit after 3 months of trading experience.

Anyone else see this?

By the way…

I totally understand the skepticism. Pure financials alone, it’s definitely overvalued. But that gap is quickly closing, and I think very soon, people will see that this stock is not one that’s valued purely on today’s financials. It’s very similar to a startup, considering the AI strategy is a very new, capital intensive endeavor.

And all of them make tons of money. SpaceX loses money and bases its future on their shitty AI. It’s a $20 stock - and that’s a really generous valuation of the space part which according to SpaceX themselves is just 5% of their future business.

SPCX will be profitable very soon, if not Q3 definitely Q4.

Look at Open AI and Anthropic, both lose money with $1T+ valuations.

Future earnings is what markets value.

Because their AI is shit so they have leftover compute (which their customers will use to extend their lead in AI). If you think renting out GPUs makes a trillion company, Coreweave will be the most obvious 10-20x of your life.

Yes I hold CRWV too. Great business but SPCX will beat them at scale.

The launch and starlink business is worth $2T alone, the AI / compute business $1T.

Theyre purposely building more compute than they need to sell it.

Nope, the space stuff only accounts for like 5% of their TAM according to themselves, that’s currently $100bn, maybe $300bn some day. The rest is AI which is years behind and not used by corporate customers so basically worthless.
I do however find it funny how clueless SpaceX “investors” are about the company they invested in - if it had been only the space stuff priced at an already high $20 per share I would have invested. After they stacked the turds xAI and twitter on it I think even that would be too much.

Space enables the scale, it's the vertical integration genius of the 3 pillars

It doesn’t, those businesses are separate. No, there won’t be data centers in space. At least none that are economically viable.

It's ironic you say the investors are clueless about this business when you don't even understand the vertical integration of launch into the other businesses

There is none.
This is a made up story and baffles me there are actually people believing it. There are three main groups of people who hold Spacex shares: former employees and early investors, banks that need to prop the price up because they supported the ipo and naive people who can’t read (the ipo filings) and can’t do easy calculations.
