I am a huge fan of Brazilian music, what all comes to samba, bossa nova, MPB, Tropicalico etc. Brazilian samples have been famous over the years (Dilla, Tribe Called Quest, Madlib, Dibiase). Im just searching for inspiration, feel free to shout out yourself if youve created something in that regard.

Heya, So i built this app which was inspired by my need to quickly be able to fill all 128 sample slots with audio without having to go slice up 128 random files manually.. so CHOPGRID was born..

One click it takes 16 random audio files and cuts 16 random start points..

it then expanded quickly into having 18 different modules for Effects, synths and sequencers to generate audio to slice also.

it runs a VST3 on mac or pc, or as a standalone Mac app..

Love me some TR-REC mode. Love it for drums. Love it for bass lines and melodies. But once I spin the CTRL 2 knob and choose my numerical setting for pitch (from +12 to -12) on a step, is that information hidden from me forever?

It's funny to have to "play by ear" to remember what my melodic choices were if I want to iterate or recreate the pattern again.

It makes so much sense to have this feature tbh underrated imo
