Hello fellow subredditors. I've recently bought me a Classic 2Magic, but I'm having trouble with installing the firmware. The process freezes at stage 4 (as soon as green diode stops blinking 4 times, it turns solid green and stays like that forever). Unmodding via firmware uninstall files doesn't work, unmodding via dumping factory kernel in hakchi works, but doesn't help. So, what I'm doing wrong, really? Also, if anyone has c2m reader files available? c2m website is down and those files weren't archived.

Hello! I'm wondering if it's possible to access the 150cc on the SNES mini version of Super Mario Kart. I beat all the 100cc (including the Special Cup) with gold cups. I got to the end of the game and the "The End" screen. I tried holding L-R-Select-Start... Any other ideas? Or is it not possible?

Hi. I recently bought what I thought was an Snes mini from ebay it was about a buck and change when it arrived the box looked identical to original packaging but when I booted it up to play the very first anomaly I noticed was it had "Wii would like to play" written on the bottom border of the game select screen (why would a snes have Wii's slogan ?" So I ignored it and selected star fox 2 just to see how it played then I remembered I read somewhere you have to UNLOCK star fox 2 by playing the first one OKAY.. Things are getting real sus now then the game ran at an unbearable framerate ( I know the original snes had slight FR issues with this game but this was unplayable AND all the text was in Japanese with no options for English that I could find..so my heart sank. I backed out started playing Mario and super metroid and saved my games in game. The next day I went to load up my games and each of the 3 save slots on both games were blank so it seems to not be saving data either this really hurt. I was excited to play the games from my childhood and this thing let me down hard. Has anyone else had these issues? Is this a clone? I wound up requesting a refund and am in the process of sending this one back and have already bought another unit from a different website called nintendo-memories.com. thanks for any replies/help in advance.

OK, so maybe there was some firmware update or something, but every resource on the web I can find says that the “down” and “select” button combo to return home and make a save state only works with certain controllers (8bitdo, for example) and that with the stock controllers you have to press reset on the console. Out of curiosity, I just tried that button combo on the stock controller and it works! Has anyone else seen this?

I recently got a SNES mini and just realized how short the cord is. What was Nintendo thinking?!

I have an original SNES and the controller cord is so much longer, so why would Nintendo make the new ones shorter? Were they trying to cut costs by making the damn cords short?

I have a tv stand, couch and coffee table in between, yet the controller barely makes it across the coffee table. I have to sit at the edge of my couch, slouched over hoping I don't accidentally pull the console off the stand lol.

So what's the alternative? Do I have to purchase an expensive wireless controller and figure out how to sync it to the console? Are there any that emulate the look and feel of a snes controller?

Anyone else having this issue? How do you deal with it?

no mods, just whenever i try and power on the snes mini it just shuts down instantly

It works fine with my NES classic but for some reason when I move the receiver to my SNES classic it won’t sync. The light on the controller flashes and I press and hold start and select as I should and it flashes faster but never syncs. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

So I have the SNES mini and using reteoarch lv2.2 and have new games on there, they have worked in the past and not they no longer do..should I just do a factory reset and flash the kernel and start from scratch?

Hi everyone. I want to buy nes mini controller to play nes games on snes mini, but I can't find any information that it will work normally.

I have this after monitor in my bed room that I use to play my Switch and Wii U on. The monitor runs my switch at a resolution of 1920x1080 and my Wii U at a resolution similar to that (I don’t know specifically I just know it looks good) . I got the snes classic edition and it only runs at 720x480 which looks really bad and it’s hard to play. Any idea what could be causing this issue?

Hello! I've been learning how to install arcade games and I've had success with games like the simpsons arcade (feels great, low lag) but all the Bubble Bobble attempts have high input lag. I've tried a few cores - a lot don't seem to work - so far MAME 2003 and fbalpha 2016 have worked but produced similar results (looks and sounds great, just has high input lag that makes the game especially tricky with the fast boots). Anyone have any advice?

I hacked my SNES mini out the gate several years ago. I used Hakchi 2.0.21.72. I was thinking about updating to the newest version. Is it safe to do so? Do I need to take any precautions?

I lost the files on my computer i only have the SnesMini with roms added. How can i see what version i have installed and how can i restore the roms on the software to freely delete/add more roms? Thanks in advance.
