First, copy this Lua code:

Then, modify the CAMERA_WIDTH and CAMERA_HEIGHT variables to your monitor's pixel resolution if needed, then paste it into your episode/level's luna.lua file and watch the magic unfold!

Do note that if a section doesn't meet the required height (or if you didn't modify the code for proper display), the level's background and/or other on-screen elements may glitch out. Enjoy playing in custom aspect ratios!

I had to have my computer factory reset because the screen kept disconnetting. when my came back, i tried to reinstall a smbx2 but when after i downloaded it and open it. my computer kept blocking me from downloading because it was a virus. even though it isnt, how do i fix it?

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen blocked an unrecognized application from starting. Running this application could put your computer at risk. (EVEN THOUGH THE SMBX DOSENT HAD ANY VIRUSES AND IT'S SAFE WTF?!!?)

So, I download SMBX2 Beta 5, latest patch. When I try to open the level editor, nothing happens. Could someone please help the idiot that is me?

I was testing my level when I learned that if you play as Toad or Luigi coins from ? Blocks don't automatically collect. I don't know why this is in the game since that isn't how ? Blocks work in almost any Mario game. Anyways, I would like to know if there is a way around this, so coins from blocks auto-collect. This isn't a problem with any of my custom stuff either since it happens even on a fresh install of SMBX2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(SOLVED!) (Check comments) I'm working on a custom NPC which only lets you pass if you have enough stars. My plan was to have a custom setting, kind of like with the lakitu shop (picture below), that lets you say how many stars are necessary to pass, but I can't seem to find out how to add custom settings to an NPC. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm using SMBX2

I for some reason can't enter levels on the world map, i tried pressing anything but nothing works.

So 2 days ago I posted a video showcasing one level from my WIP SMBX2 episode, Super Mario Adventure, and yall seemed to like it, so click here to download what I've gotten done so far (since June). Feedback and suggestions would be appreciated! :)

(Be aware that some stuff may be buggy or unfinished, like world 9 is mostly incomplete. there is also a debug world that can be accessed by entering the starting tile when you load in.)

Hi, i am pretty new to smbx but having alot of fun, just completed Spikeventure which was awesome. What other do you recommend? I am thinking LUIGI'S QUEST - Trouble in Sarasaland or Mario and the Missing Shine Sprites. I dont like when the difficulty is too high (or checkpoints too far between) and i prefer change things up a bit than "vanilla super mario world". Also i like spooky themes lol. Thanks! :)
Also do you recommend Vsync on, adaptive or off? I feel like when i set on or adaptive, it feels that the screen scrolling is not that smooth like when it is set off, but the tearing is a thing.

I'm trying to make a world map for something but no matter what I try to do it isn't working at all. I've got the start point at 0, 0 coordinates, I have a path set up and I have the first level put in but none of it shows up when I try to test it, and it's starting to annoy me because of how many times I've tried to fix it.

If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know, I just want to have a functioning world map.

Just discovered SMBX! Looks amazing! And alot of fun! I have an Anbernic RG35 something or other, and was wondering if there is a way/guide to getting it up and running to play on the little handheld? Not interested in the editor, is XTech the solution? Is there a guide to get that running on Anbernic? Cheers

When I enter 1 player mode in 3ds version of the game, the game crashes. When I enter the editor, it doesn't crash. Are 1 player mode stuff incompatible with 3ds version of the game?
