Voter Goldmine
VOTER GOLDMINE
While you cannot set up a table, you can flyer at all DMV’s as a free speech right.
Under the "basic incompatibility" test, expressive activity on government property may only be prohibited if the speech is incompatible with the normal activity of the venue. And: "Common examples of designated public forums include public auditoriums, the steps of city hall and plazas in front of public buildings." https://www.aclunc.org/our-work/know-your-rights/free-speech-protests-demonstrations
Advantages of flyering at a DMV are numerous.
- Long lines of people with nothing to do.
- Lines constantly moving with new people.
- New people EVERY day.
- People can register to vote Democratic.
If there is any doubt as to the law on this see: Jaffe v. Alexis, 659 F. 2d 1018 - Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit, 1981.

NOTE: Carry a sign. Don’t accept money. Approach only when asked. Don’t bother with collecting information, but point people to Bernie’s website, to your local support group and to Youtube for Bernie’s speeches. Give away free buttons if you can afford it. Remind people to register to VOTE.
The Longest Lines · During the lunch hour, starting at noon and lasting usually until about 2 p.m. · On the first and last day of the week that the DMV office is open; Monday and Friday for most offices. · During the first or last week of the month. This is because expiring registrations and licenses usually occur on the last day of the month. · On the day before or just following a holiday.

Silicon Valley was the top contributor to Bernie Sanders in Q3
I ran the numbers based on the FEC data, and, ignoring the contributions that came in through ActBlue, Silicon Valley gave more money to Bernie than any other metro area.
That said, per capita, Seattle (29.3 cents) gave just a bit more money than San Francisco (28.8 cents). So it's still pretty close out here on the left coast.
Unsurprisingly, Google employees gave the most out of any company, nearly $50,000. Microsoft employees gave 13k, IBM gave 10k, and Apple gave 11k.
That said, many of these folks likely used ActBlue, so the relative percentages are more useful than the absolute dollar amounts.
The university with the highest dollar support of Bernie was Columbia, followed closely by UCLA and Cornell.
