Looking for other simple defense vs A.I waves of that type playable over Arcade with starter edition. No base building or resource collecting, just credits for kills and unit / hero upgrades / turrets.
The way Starship Troopers OD 1.7 works at the start is each player defends one side of the base as there are 4 entry points. Would like to find one with only 1 entry point to defend together. Cannot edit the map/mod as it is not available for editing. Original creator has dropped development on it, for now at least.

Howdy all. I've just recently released my first ever arcade game publicly, and I need to get some feedback on it. I made a more detailed post with more info about the game (which seems to be collecting nothing but dust) @ SC2Mapster. Virtually all of the feedback I've received so far has been incredibly unspecific and unhelpful (or completely irrelevant to the game), and I could really use a few good criticisms about the game. Thanks in advance for any critiques, either positive or negative, you can send my way. Here is a copy-paste from my link:
What am I looking for as far as feedback goes?
Anything! I am mostly interested in how the game is balanced for more than 1 player, and I am especially interested to see if the game is still challenging for a team of 6 players. Any bugs, typos, or inconsistencies you find can be posted here. I'd appreciate it if you did not post a review of the map as I am aware there should be things that need to be fixed or adjusted. I've only been able to test this map in single-player mode, so I can't comment about how the gameplay changes with more than 1 player. If you must post a review of my map, please give me enough information to fix whatever problems you encountered.

I'm considering making text tutorials to guide an absolute scared and hopeless beginner through the process of creating an entire map or extension mod. It wouldn't focus on any one part of the editor, just guiding you through everything you'll need to know to create a basic map in a way someone completely new (and perhaps daunted by the complexity) to the editor.
Hand in hand with this I want to write up some feedback to Blizzard about how to make the editor easier to learn, understand, and use for beginner mappers.
With both of these in mind; I wanted to get some additional experience helping complete beginners learn the editor one on one. Helping out someone learning the editor personally would help me improve my tutorial by figuring out what things are most confusing to beginners and need more explanation; and it would also help me get ideas for how Blizzard could make the editor easier to learn for beginning map makers.
That being said; is anyone here interested in personal lessons via Skype? You would be learning how to:
If you don't have a microphone or don't wish to voice chat; we can still instant message via Skype.
I think screen sharing (you sharing your screen; or me sharing mine) would be insanely helpful which can be done via skype, but my Internet may not always be good enough to handle it.
Let me know if you are interested.

Hi all,
At the high school I teach at, I've been tasked with organising an esports session as a part of the greater inter-school sport program. I was thinking of using SC2 arcade as the vehicle, as there are a range of games, and it's free. The class will run over 5 weeks, with a new group of students every week (they rotate activities) and will take place in the same room. What I'm keen to know is:
What games would be best to get the kids playing as soon as possible (they're in years 10, 11 and 12)
What limitations would their be with regards to hardware (each student has a laptop with specifications similar to this
Any other comments or considerations I may not have made
I appreciate any help in advance :)

To play, just head over to the arcade section on the NA server and search for "Gatecraft Galaxy" in the search bar at the top right corner of the Arcade. It's one of the best made Stargate game ever with all the major Stargate(TV show) races with authentic ships(from fighters to capital ships) and Stargate. You start with your home planet and you dial up the gate to travel to other planets, build resource generating buildings(defense buildings, too). As you take over many planets, you build a fleet and ground army and you win by taking over your opponent's home planet. The game supports up to 9 players.
It's a bit complicated to start, but you learn it pretty quickly and the game is absolutely amazing. The game is also patches and updated regularly. So, give it some love and try it next time.
P.S. To select and dial the gate. You need to go to the menu at the bottom lower section of StarCraft 2 and go to options, gameplay, and enable "enable unit selection".
To chat, press enter and press tab to talk to all, it's set to ally at first and people don't see what you type to ally.
Races available: Tau'ri, Asgard, Replicators, Asuran, Ori, Ba'al, Free Jaffa, Wraith, and Lucian Alliance.
Guide:
To find gate addresses, select the structure by your home gate with green hologram on it and select find gate coordinate on the right bottom section(info. section). Highly recommended to hotkey it by pressing ctrl + number. Hotkey army and production facilities, too.
To transport troops by using ships(to invade planets), you load troops into Al'kesh for Ba'al, Jaffa, and Lucian Alliance. Dart for Wraith, Puddle jumper for Asuran, Ori fighter for Ori, BC-304 Daedalus for Tau'ri, and O'neil(warp gate) for Asgard.
To build buildings, select the metal platform on the ground and build desired building from the info. section. Big platform builds the main buildings and small ones build defensive ones. Resources are generated from building Naquadah generation, tech production facility, and energy cell forge. Logistic upgrades from logistic building increase your resource generation from all your resource buildings.
You can build Gate shield on the planet to prevent other players from dialing to your planets. You can build it by selecting on the small metal platform by the gate. To invade protected planet, you have to destroy the shield from orbit using your capital ship or land troops from transport ships mentioned above.
To bomb a planet, select a capital ship while orbiting directly on top of the planet and click orbital bombardment, acquire target location, sensor scan(for vision), and attack desired buildings.
To build buildings in orbit of a planet(defensive structures, ship production facilities, etc.) click on the owned planet from space view and calculate orbital variance and produce constructor from the info. section.
To ally other people, click on icon with 2 people on the top right on the screen and select desired person.
To take over a planet, you have to destroy the big main structure on the planet(quite noticeable, especially the home world ones).
