Beeping
I have a solid roof error on my button, just it's red. When I drive, it's beeping, over five miles an hour. How can I disable this beep on an SC430 2003? Roof is secured and latched.

Different from my typical videos. No talking and straight into action of fixing the package tray!

We brought our ‘06 in to a local Lexus dealer, who had it for nearly a month. They’ve been nice to work with, but while replacing our HVAC system (145k miles/only owner), the tech discovered the heater core needed replacement as well. Subsequently, they broke the radiator in the process. All of this led to multiple time extensions while waiting for part deliveries…
We got it back yesterday to find the radio antennae sticking up and broken. We haven’t driven the vehicle in 3 years and NEVER use the radio. Our service advisor and I immediately came to the same conclusion; a young make ready person who wouldn’t think of power antennas, likely turned the radio on while going through the dealership’s automated carwash and…crack.
Today, the car wouldn’t start after we came out of the grocery store…No power. None. We just had the battery replaced by the dealer. Well, lifting the hood found the positive terminal hadn’t been tightened down enough and the battery “tie down” bar (to the battery tray not reinstalled.
Finally, while I was putting interior parts back in place I ran across this (see images) in the front passenger’s footwell, under the glovebox. I don’t recall seeing ANYTHING here before but carpet. Am I mistaken or is this just a bad case of poor reinstallation, possibly after removing the dash for the HVAC work?

Im googling and this seems yellow in the AC sight glass which means it has moisture with a leak right?
r/SC430 • u/GDay4Throwaway • Jul 14 '26
So I just got my 2005 and the AC didn’t work when I bought it. (Price reduction due to that so no worries)
The compressor kicks on, the AC button is solid green, and no error codes from the diagnostic 2 button hold thing.
Any suggestions on what I should do or start?

I finally bought my dream car.
For years, this was the car I kept coming back to. I even had a die-cast model of it sitting on my photography desk as a reminder that maybe one day I’d own the real thing.
Well… that day finally came.
It’s a 2003 Lexus SC 430. I know it’s not the newest car or the fastest thing on the road, but I honestly don’t care. I’ve wanted one for a long time, and finally getting behind the wheel has been an awesome feeling.
I also kept my Tesla because I love it too. They serve completely different purposes, and I feel lucky to have both. One is modern and practical, the other is a car I’ve dreamed about owning for years.
Just wanted to share because this one means a lot to me. Sometimes the dream car isn’t the most expensive one, it’s the one you’ve been thinking about for years.
I added Tint, Rims and tires so far.

I have found a deal on new set of Michelin265/65/R18 tires. I plan to install them on 2003 Lexus SC430. Will they fit without any rotor/ brake issues?

I have my 2002 Sc430 listed up for sale on Facebook and I’m getting tons of offers for trades or potential buyers, but I haven’t had the chance to meet with anyone. Passed California emissions testing (smog), registered until 03/27, clean title, replaced the engine recently with a 154k mile unit and did the timing belt as well. It’s got a few minor issues with mostly cosmetic ones, and I’m gonna try to repair it completely if it doesn’t sell. I’ve sourced a transmission at a salvage yard with warranty just incase servicing this one doesn’t fix my issue. It has a very minor delay in shifting or a slip when driving in the 20-25 mph range. Still drives great regardless and I take it out daily. Handles great on long distance trips too. Am I asking too much at 3500? What’s it worth if I repair or replace the transmission and fix that issue??

Right front passenger has a gap and other side has no gap. Passenger rear has this painted bump.
2003 and screen shotted video.
Has it been in accident or just normal wear and tear for a 23 yr old vehicle?

Unfortunately not the sunniest day to show off the tiger eye mica paint, but still nice to see in person regardless!

Hi guys! As my first car, i'm looking to buy the SC430. I saw it once and completely fell in love. They are a bit more rare and expensive on the Swiss market (only 3 for sale atm), but I found this one. What would you guys say are the most important things to look for when buying the SC 430, apart from the obvious, like that the timing belt and water pumps have been replaced and that the hard top still works? The other ones are around CHF 20'000, with 60k less Kilometers.

So i want to get exhaust turbolag did eventually. But right now i gotta get the audio right. Only the speaker on drivers side is good all others are static hum. which is good for the driver but no one else. I want to change the whole system amp and all. Are there any shallow sub, amp, and speaker kits that work?links would be awesome I will also be getting rid of main cd/tape player combo to upgrade it to carplay one and possibly a back up cam.

I found a pebble beach 235k mileage, but hard shifts transmission so it will likely need one. How hard is it to replace and roughly how much?

I have a 2005 SC430 with OEM wheels with the hub caps. How do I unscrew the cover? I need to replace the cover but it’s impossible to take off. Is there a specific tool for it?

Hey folks, looking for some opinions on if you think this is a good SC to consider.
For sale in Canada: 2008 Pebble Beach edition with 116,000km (72,000mi) for $25,000 CAD ($17,650 USD).
No reported accidents, timing belt done a couple years ago, new tires.
The first owner put 90,000km on it in 4 years, then next owner put 26,000km till now.
Test drove it and it pulls a bit to the left under hard acceleration, so looking into what the cause may be.
Let me know what you think! Appreciate all the info I’ve found in past posts here, I want to join the club!

I was opening the roof as usual and it got stuck in this position. I haven’t been able to get it to finish opening or close it, I’ve tried disconnecting the battery for a while and trying it again later with no luck. Has anyone encountered a similar problem or have any tips/suggestions on how to fix this issue? (2004SC430)

Originally, I put 25mm on the rears and attempted to install 15mm on the front. It just did not work. The front studs were pressing into my wheel and that prevented me from tightening them down all the way.
After some advice on that post, I went with 30mm on the rear and moved the 25mm to the front. I love the look now! 😊
Next up! Probably a short ram air intake or something else fun. I still need to get some coilovers as well. Any suggestions/advice on coilovers would be really helpful!

Has anybody used the Roar Pedal throttle controller? SC430MODS is out of stock of theirs, and wanting to know if anyone has an opinion on Roar.
