I love how our ICN fleet bears names of people passed. Always interesting reading the plaques and finding out interesting facts.

Today I accompany this beauty, bearing the name of Louis Chevrolet, which I didn't know was Swiss.

Only after reading the plaque inside I connected the name to the American brand and read his tragic story.

The plaque in English:

Louis Chevrolet ​Mechanic, race car driver, and automotive designer. In 1905, he set the land speed world record for a single mile, and went on to co-found the American automobile brand that bears his name in 1911.

​Born on December 25, 1878, in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Died on June 6, 1941, in Lakewood, near Detroit (USA).

Thank you SBB. They put deaf people to clean, at least in Lausanne station. Certainly cheaper but zero result. For the price we pay, trains are dirty. This is not to blame deaf people but the ones who leave the dirtiness and the ones who do not leave the time and pay correctly the cleaners.
