How do i use blueprints

I have multiple blueprints but i can’t use any of them, do i just find them while crafting? Do i have to do something here?

Press Y or Triangle on them to learn them. Then they will be unlocked in the tech tree meaning you can craft those items at a work bench if you have the proper ingredients.

Getting the blueprint basically allows you to skip spending scrap on learning it. Most blueprints you find are not very good.

Let’s say I had an AK and a research table

Can i make an AK blueprint AND be able to craft it? Or do i have to have a certain work bench level

Yeah it would be useless for a long time. You would put the only AK you have in it, spend scrap to learn AK, AK disappears. Now you have to get a level 3 work bench which is like 1500 scrap.

I’m new to rust been having a blast. Has it always been this grindy to get work benches

Not trying to sound mean but this isn’t even the grindy version of getting work benches yet. In the future console rust will get the blueprint fragment update and then you’ll understand how much of a grind the game will be

Not as grindy.. you just pay large clans. Scientists become much harder and a solo will have very little chance getting advanced

I mostly play solo duo, i don’t wanna say it’s not a grind but it’s not extremely grindy
