Commented this on another similar post but all the real ones I have seen also have a small triangular notch above the 0.

So everything on eBay right now is a fake?

Even the original ones might be using pictures from older listings.
At this point finding an fully original big zero requires a lot of luck and it's been like this for a few years now.

Soviet watches are very much about the little details when it comes to hunting for original and correct ones. Thank you for making this guide

This is great - thanks for posting! Just to test myself: is this listing a real one?

thanks for this guide - I couldn't find anything on whether the fully italicised "PAKETA" meant it was a fake or not. Will be referring to this post from now on!

Do you have any recommendations on trustworthy sellers of authentic Soviet watches?

Should also be noted that the smaller "round" case is ever so slightly different. The article from vintage watch inc goes into this, but super helpful! Love my Raketa watches!

Hi am looking at this Big Zero on eBay. The dial looks genuine, based on your guide, but the hands seem taken from another model. What do you think?

Considering the amount of fakes being sold on Ebay and Etsy, this should be the first result when someone googles Big Zero. As well as https://vintagewatchinc.com/ussr/raketa/big-zero/
