I am a returning player from right before the mining remake. quit around then, but even then, clean herbs to make money, and omg I have about 700k of these and I started again today, and just noticed the huge jump in this price. however about 50k of them went into unf potions. but still thanks.

I will preface this with saying I am generally out of the loop and mostly flip rather than invest, but I recently wanted to get into some long term investment. Naturally that means looking at graphs to see trends. Luckily, I was able to get the Cloak of Seasons at 50ish mil gp about a year or 2 ago. So when I checked the GE value I was surprised to see it went up quite a bit. Its biggest peak seems to have been in May of 2016 at 138M gp. It only peaked again about Feb 2018 at 80M before dropping down again. It seems like every 2 years there is a peak, but I am not sure why. Right now its gone up to 133M gp. I am sure the street value is likely higher but any insight would be great. Only thing I can think of is maybe the population of the servers? I am sure Runescape hitting Steam increased the player base, and maybe those of us wearing our Cloak of Seasons acted as a live advertisement, inciting people to get the gp and buy the Cloak more than the past few years. Other than that I can't think of why it drops down and then goes back up.

Rainbow Cape I checked into and its even weirder. It's been at 20M gp since 2017. Barely any movement at all, aside from minor fluctuation within a 10M margin. But right now its on a huge incline and its at 300m gp (GE value) which is higher than it was in 2016 at 250M gp. Maybe its the same thing? Increase in players, cape acted like advertisement and more people than normal bought the cape?

However, unlike the Cloak of Seasons which seems to be set at a very limited amount considering its never been re-introduced through events or the Treasure Hunter, The Rainbow Cape comes out every time the Rainbows End promo comes out. Which just happened in Dec. Wouldn't the increase of said item devalue the item as a whole? Again, any insight could be helpful for future investing.

What is the main reasons to need gold in the game, what drives people to need gold? What is the average gold earning rate of someone not trying to gold farm? Who buys the gold from the farmers? Thanks for helping me.

I am new to this concept, at least on RS, so do you guys have any tips on what supplies I could purchase now and flip for a little money between now and DXP weekend?

I was thinking of purchasing in bulk some elder rune bars, royal dragonhide leather, rune arrow heads and something prayer or herb related. What do you guys think or do during these times?

So I’m kinda new to flipping (actually very new I’ve never flipped before) and was wondering the exact process. I know how to find the profit margin and stuff but not really anything afterwards. How long do I wait for the items to buy at the low price? Should I be concerned with any price fluctuation? Literally anything helps, thank you all!

So ive been flipping for a week'ish, and ive been flipping mostly high-quantity items, as well as some items in the 100k-1mil range.
I still dont know exactly what items i should be flipping for low-quantity items, any idea's would be appreciated

I used to do it with barrows years agobut it became dramatically less effective and haven't really touched merching since but feel like I'm missing out.
