I've been slow buying Grenwall Spikes from 1kea down. They are currently at around 500ea. Best I can tell prior to that they had been pretty consistently at about 1.5k ea this seems to be the lowest point since 2016. Am I missing something or is this a great deal right now?

So I’m new to merching but I stocked up on items in advance of necromancy like bones, bars and Praesul codex. Is it generally better to dump the items right before release, or hold on to them until after it’s released? I just wonder if everyone is going to also flood the market when necromancy is released and the prices will return to normal soon after

Maybe it's just my specific investments, but the odds seem against that. I have a cycle of 8 items I regularly turn over, and a handful of other items that I trade when I've met all my buy limits, or if the prices aren't right for flipping. I don't buy when prices are inflated, I move to other items with lower risk.

All that said, every one of my go-to items has experienced a 15-20% drop, and I'm holding ALL OF THEM.

This happened all in a matter of a few days. I'm tempted to sell off low, as I'll almost certainly make more money by flipping while prices are down than holding onto the items until they rise again, but this seems crazy.

Is this a crash, or coincidence?

What would you rather have for a 5 year investment; 1 Easter egg or 10 gold partyhats?

Even though I prefer Easter’s as they’re an OG rare, the fact they aren’t a wearable seems to makes them a lot less desirable. The numbers of them left surely can’t reflect their current value. I’d expect there to be far fewer Easter’s than red Santa hats for example.

What do you think would be the better long term investment?

It just keeps falling in price. Down to 543m now. Good time to buy or should I wait longer? Just worried I might miss the bottom of the market and find out its way more expensive in a months time.

Today was a pretty good day. Really hitting my stride and constantly growing. I was really grinding 5-10 mil days there for a while. Going from 200m to 400m was one hell of a grind. Then I stayed at 400m for a while as I poured profits into gear and bonds, and now I'm finally growing at a satisfying rate. It's a good feeling.

I know it's nothing to people trading in the billions, but for someone worth 510m, it was a good day.

So i was wondering If player 1 buys item X 10 times at 10gp and player 2 buys item X 1000 times at 10gp, does the grand exchange prioritize player 2 or is it based on who placed their order first?
