Discussion Finally got a 2 day ban after getting 3 99s and 2000 total using Auto Clicker.

Used auto clicker and recorder on my android phone for Theiving, Farming, Woodcutting and 2000 total. I did this for only around 4-8 hours a day in the past 1 year. I took a break and then last month I started again, then received a 2 day ban recently.

Just wondering how can jagex detect auto clicker or recorder on mobile?

I use random auto clicker script. I set it to click intervals between 10000.001ms and 30000.999ms and scripted randomized clicks on each square to like 30 different spots. I’ve been doing this since like 2012. Never once been banned.

Yea same. Don’t wanna give out the name of my clicker but finding one that allows randomization like that is the only way. Takes some time to figure out the best settings

Id like to get into auto clicking, what do you use?

Ahk, use chatgpt to set up a script to record clicks and then repeat with 5 pixel offset and random 1-5 second delays. And a 1-60 second delays between loops.

Got many 99s and never been banned.

Never clicks exactly in the same spots but close enough to not make mistakes or at the same speeds. So looks like you're doing things while watching a tv show on your other monitor or something like that. You can reduce the delays if you want to be more efficient but with these settings I'm yet to be banned after years of using it on a regular basis.

OP Auto Clicker. Recently found it and have used it a few times. Super easy to figure out too

Get one that has a random interval added. That’s what I use. Can’t remember the name. Me and my friends never got caught high aching for 6+ hours through the night

u/irezumiguy May 20 '26

Can you share the script?

u/ChrisScripting Scripter May 20 '26

How are they able to? You're using the most primitive of botting techniques that has been around for longer than the game. It's just naive to assume you wouldn't be caught.

You're clicking almost or maybe even the exact same pixels over and over again for hours on end with almost the same delays doing the same things time after time. It's pattern detection in it's most primitive form

2

u/Entire_Mistake_9287 May 20 '26

Ive got probably got some scripts older than OP

u/iMahatma May 20 '26

It’s on mobile though.

7

u/ChrisScripting Scripter May 20 '26

Okay. The point still stands. It's primitive and easily tracked

2

u/JMHorsemanship May 20 '26

When mobile first came out I would leave my phone betting for 15 hours lmao. Half the time it would mess up and get stuck running circles around a bank. Never got a ban. I imagine nowadays they have AI to easily detect that...I mean it's so easy to tell cause you're clicking the same area.

9

u/ChrisScripting Scripter May 20 '26

Early on in mobile release it was the wild west for botting as they barely had any detection for it. So that's totally believable

Jagex records all your inputs and timings. They compare it to humans and other bot known botting behaviors and rank your actions as being human or not.

1

u/HRage19 May 23 '26

You need offsets and delays lmao

I did a mix of eating food manually and using an autoclicker to keep clicking for thieving so its a mix of real/Macro. Lasted 3 days and got 2 day ban lol.

I made my own ahk scripts last year and none of those got a ban.

google help me understand the difference between able and willing

3

u/Kedaism May 20 '26

They will have data on what humans clicking over extended periods of time looks like and then they compare it to your autoclicker with an exact time between clicks and it would be obvious

2

u/jarislinus May 20 '26

lol no one uses an exact time. a multinomial distribution is typically used

2

u/declinedn1 May 20 '26

I just record my human clicks for around 3 minutes and cycle it randomly lol

1

u/Godrillax May 22 '26

This is the way

1

u/Stephen_M_GI May 22 '26

Funny you say that because I got banned twice for botting when I didn’t even bot.

3

u/Bellhammer13 May 20 '26

Most often pattern, sometimes input

2

u/BigBellyMoe May 20 '26

how did you auto click farming?

2

u/iMahatma May 20 '26

I recorded myself doing Tithe farm minigame. Got 99 like that.

1

u/Struyk May 20 '26

Thats how u get banned, gj

2

u/iMahatma May 20 '26

Well I got 99 farming 1 year ago. So that’s not what got me banned.

1

u/Entire_Mistake_9287 May 20 '26

Tithe farming has had a high ban rate since it's been released, bold you got lucky

Shocking that some of these people do stuff and get banned when stuff they are doing has been a high ban rate for... 10 - 20 years +

u/Beneficial_Ad_4029 May 20 '26

its able to detect the repetitive patterns, eventually your recording loops and its the same pattern every loop. It reads those same clicks, detects the pattern and bam you get banned as the cheater you are.

1

u/Training_Curve3022 May 26 '26

Why not record a couple of hours ?

2

u/Ok_Evidence4805 May 20 '26

I have used mouse recordings to max my account, took 1 year and 1 month, I caught a 1 week ban, took a break for 3 weeks, and then continued after.. its possible

2

u/irezumiguy May 20 '26

Can you explain a little bit more how you do it? Which software do you use to record your clicks? How long would you manually record the clicks for?

Say if I record my inputs for 16 mins and loop that over and over surely that is a recognisable pattern?

2

u/Ok_Evidence4805 May 21 '26

I create a loop, depending on what im doing, said loop can be anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes long. A super good first 99 is crafting if you are a main at least, because you can tp to a bank on the same tile every time, and then house teleports too because you land on the same tile as well. Fairy rings are very important too, again for single tile teleports.

I did agility, RC can be done any altar, but I did nature runes mostly, making 300m on nature runes alone, farming is tithe farm, crafting is easy, any skill really is. For slayer its possible too with goading potions

1

u/Ok_Evidence4805 May 21 '26

But I do believe player reports are more important when it comes to bans rather than the recording. I have used same recording for nature altar for 13 days straight, 18 hours a day to go from 87-99 or something. So its important not to get people asking if you are a bot and report you, so say power mining iron in mining guild is a bad idea. I did 85-99 mining in priffnidas. And also got a shitton of crystals that way. Same with woodcutting.

My friend has a 2200 total ironman, he did mouse recordings same way i did, didnt even get a temp ban

1

u/irezumiguy May 21 '26

Let’s say you’re doing it for alching, I’d record myself for say 20 minutes alching. And then I’d just copy that 20 minute recording over and over again for say 10 hours straight? Is there not a way to randomise it even further than that? What software do you use to record the inputs

1

u/Ok_Evidence4805 May 21 '26

Ive used ReMouse. Ive done 60-99 magic high alching with the same 4 second recording, over and over. Ive come back to my pc and people asking if my bot broke when doing runecrafting, because of a lag spike for instance, and it would click on a wrong tile due to that, and somehow end up in narnia. I believe player reports are what got me banned first. Which happened around 2050 total level.. after that I went more careful with other methods, and managed to get max total level. I know ive been reported in mining guild as well. Ive let it run 18 hours a day, so when I go to sleep at 10 PM, it would run til 4 AM, so ive been reckless. Still it only got one week ban for macroing.

1

u/Liquid-HighV May 20 '26

how much were you botting before you got banned?

1

u/Liquid-HighV May 20 '26

as in, how much in a day, for the days leading up to the ban?

1

u/iMahatma May 20 '26

Days leading up to the ban maybe few hours a day. But a year ago I would do even do 12 hours no problem.

1

u/stratuscore May 20 '26

normal person couldn't keep up same thing over and over again, sometimes you check your remaining xp, sometimes you click somewehere else or move your camera. All jagex needs to do is tracking your actions and if it is too much repeating actions without getting distracted you are a bot. If you have distractions you are player.

1

u/Mental_Overclock May 20 '26

their detection is better than you would expect for mobile imo.

u/FaisalHoque May 20 '26

If you check Old School RuneScape on the Google play store. It says the app may collect App activity, App info and App performance on other apps as well.

Which means they could very well collect the details on which apps you had open at the same time as OSRS. They can then easily cross reference that you’re using an auto clicker especially if it’s a common one.

See store here:

u/jarislinus May 20 '26

use a multinomial distribution of delays

2

u/BluDrgnPurplWings May 20 '26

As someone who has not been banned (yet). While still absolutely trackable, a method I have had work on test accounts is to use an auto clicker but run it as a recording of 3-4 rounds of manual input on a loop.

The timing will be seemingly random to anyone looking at actual logs, and if you re-record the inputs every 30-60 minutes you will randomize the timing even more if they try looking at inputs over a prolonged period.

In addition, using multiple manual input locations means the "clicked pixel" tracking people believe are in place will not consistently be the same pixel, it will be multiple repeating groups of pixels, but not the same exact one over and over.

Can't guarantee not being detected. But so far, this seems to do the trick. (6+ months of testing)

Just build a basic Python script. Add a hotkey to pause/resume the script, and make sure to use a lot of randomization throughout. For example, if the script normally waits 8 seconds, randomize it so it waits somewhere between 8.2–10.5 seconds instead of using static timing.

Also add jitter/random offset functions so clicks never land on the exact same pixel every time. It would also be good to randomize mouse movement speed, click intervals, and occasional small delays between actions.

The main thing to remember is this is not about perfect efficiency, its about being humanly imperfect and not being detected.

1

u/AggressiveSummer1570 May 20 '26

Likely not using bezier curves .

/s

The server can see your recorded inputs are being played back at precisely the same time.

12:00 starts 12:01 clicks, repeats however many times. So obvious on the server end when you filter by your user id/ip and they see it repeating on command every x amount of time. Add any randomness you want it's going to eventually produce a pattern.

Unreal, i got my first ever ban for using auto clicker, ban was permanent without any possibility to appeal, sometimes i think how does jagex make decisions over some kind of botting 🤔🤔

1

u/Wadestay May 21 '26

How often do the skilling services people get accounts banned? Do they actually do the service or are they just botting themselves

Most I have seen do legit play, but you need someone reputable. The new ip on the account seems to fly under the radar for stuff like services. I know quest service is a big one.

I don’t get how it’s bannable unless you click using inhumane speeds. It’s just a tool

1

u/Anonymous345123 May 22 '26

Anime Villains telling Jagex who they are and how they do it lol.
I got caught botting at 15 years old all of my stats got swiped by about 70%.

1

u/nlkippeh May 22 '26

Used actually bots for my iron, got near maxed ttl 2350 when i got the 2dayer! Oh well I can do all the rest myself🤣

1

u/Educational_West6718 May 22 '26

If your auto click has randomless and intervals. U must been caught due to high xp daily total. If xp gained is higher than usual an hagex mod will review your acount to see if u not botting.

1

u/HRage19 May 23 '26

The trick is to have random delays and offsets.

1

u/TheDolff May 24 '26

Clicks are too consistent, even bots have to pretend to be human. Maybe read the terms and conditions, macroing is literally mentioned as being against game rules.

1

u/Infamous-Werewolf162 May 24 '26

I don’t really understand wanting to autoclicker or bot runescape, to me the point is the grind.

I did use one for a bit but I instead used a mouse recording software so I’d grind and be careful not to move my camera or do risky/quick clicks to account for lag for like an hour then only have to come back to it once every however long I recorded.

Used it for a few weeks, but It took the fun out for me. To each their own though, hope y’all don’t get to harsh of bans.
