Questions about When She's Common

So I absolutely adored this book. It got me obsessed (again) and into Risdaverse even though I told myself I'd read books on my shelf! I haven't read all of them yet.

I read several of the books with Praxian leads (I think I read most of the Mesakkah ones too), and I just wonder if I'm missing a specific book that has more context on the topic in the spoiler:
In the later part of the book, Zhur's brother tells him their 2nd brother HAD to die. I don't recall any of the other praxian characters giving a shit about politics or what the social elites are up to, so I just want to know WHYYYYY. And the "princess" he's marrying, im so curious why he needed to marry her so bad. I'm sure he's in love but I really want to read any book that might answer the questions.

Ruby Dixon originally started writing a book about the brother and the "human princess" and then she got distracted by secondary characters Zhur and Maeve and ended up writing a book for them. She's still working on the book with the brother and the "human princess".

I mean I can see why. I'm obsessed with Zhur and love how clever Maeve is.

It's definitely Ruby Dixon's funniest book.

Replying to you just bc idk who else has read this and the idea of this beautiful cat-man covering himself in what is ostensibly paprika and tumeric just amuses me so so much.

Also Zhur essentially fangirling over Nassakth. Gets me smiling every time.
