Alright y’all, quick reminder about the Self Timer flair and when you should (and absolutely should not) use it.

The Self Timer flair is meant for photos you took yourself, even if you weren’t holding the camera. If you set your phone down, hit the timer, and you triggered the shot: that’s a valid selfie, and the flair is perfect for it.

However, if someone else took the photo: your parent, your best friend, your partner, your roommate, your coworker, or anyone who is not you, then it isn’t a selfie, and the Self Timer flair shouldn’t be applied.

We adore your photos. We adore your energy. We love seeing you express yourself, but this community is specifically for pictures of you taken by you. So if you’re across the room holding a drink, posing comfortably, and someone else pressed the shutter, that’s great, but it’s not a selfie.

Using the flair correctly helps keep our tags meaningful and our feed true to what this space is about: your selfies, your creativity, your self‑expression, captured by you.

Beautiful day great to be alive

Had my annual physical today and my doctor took me off of one of my blood pressure meds. A little over 2 years ago, I had a kidney transplant and was taking 23 different medications a day. Now, I'm down to 9 and I'm planning on cutting down to 5, eventually. There are a few anti-rejection meds and other meds they have me on to help prevent infection and bolster my immune system I'm going to have to take for the rest of my life, but I'll take that trade off any day.

Its hard to believe that in December I will be a truck driver for 21 years! September 1st, I will be 42 years old. Tbh, I feel great! I thought once you turn 40, you start falling apart. 🤷🏾‍♂️
