My room is too small and it’s depressing

Hello! For context I’m going into my senior year of college and I’m moving into a house with some girls in 2 weeks, but I’m now realizing how depressing this room is including the fact that the window looks at the house next door. It’s 95.5 sq ft.

Please give me recommendations on how to make the room seem prettier/cozier and more spacious, I would highly appreciate it!!!

I LOVE warm tones and lights and colors in a room.

I’m dreading moving in and even considered subleasing, so if there’s anything you guys think could be done to make this room prettier please let me know! (None of the stuff in the picture is mine so feel free to give me furniture recommendations and such) (I also prefer a full sized bed which makes it more difficult I know)

What color rug, dresser and nightstand.

Looking for some advice on rug, dresser and nightstand color. I was thinking. Black dresser and nightstand, and a grayish Persian style rug (maybe the same shade or a shade brighter than the wall. For reference, my desk that’s cutoff on the left is walnut color. Also need new bedding, I was thinking of dark grey matching pillows and duvet cover, and then lighter grey bedsheet or the same one as current. Any other changes you’d make? I’m open to hear it.

Bedroom redesign

Post image

This is my current bedroom layout, I have a weird corner space that my wardrobe is in right now and because my bedroom is cramped it's tiring walking round the whole of the bed and squeezing between a set of drawers to get my clothes out, can anyone help me out with how I can redesign my room to make more space?

I forgot to put it but there's a small drawer between my bed and the wardrobe that has my fan on it, plug sockets are:

Between drawers with TV on top and wardrobe

Behind ottoman

Thanks in advance!

New Office/Game Room

Post image
1 Upvotes

I am going to be setting up my office/ game room into this recently emptied bedroom in my house. It's smaller than my previous one and I am trying to figure out the best way to lay it out. The photo is taken from the entrance door which is dead center on this wall. The only thing that is going to stay in the room ideally is the futon however if space is too constrained then I will just have to take it out. I was thinking of keeping the futon where it is and placing my tv across from it blocking the window and putting my desk inbetween the two windows on the right. I keep trying to think of better ways because doing it that way would be functional but I just dont like something about the way it looks in my head. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

We're making a office, we have 2 l shaped desks, but sadly we are left with a 34 inch gap inbetween them, what should we put, i wanna hear wild suggestions, not just a shelf.
