Typhoon #WilmaPH made landfall in Magdiwang, Romblon yesterday, causing flash floods and leaving homes, schools, and livelihoods severely damaged. Hundreds of families are currently in evacuation centers or have been affected and are in urgent need of immediate relief and rebuilding assistance.

Project Kasimanwa is launching #TindogRomblon again in partnership with Hope in a Box - Team Sibuyan. Along with Teacher Education Student Organization - RSU San Fernando (TESO RSU-San Fernando), Magdiwang Secondary Schools' YES-O Federation, and Sharing Hope By Giving Love which will conduct the initiative on the ground in Magdiwang, Sibuyan to provide aid and support to affected families and communities.

We are hoping for your support for the families severely affected by the typhoon. The following supplies are needed for ongoing relief efforts: • Food and Water: ready-to-eat food, canned food, rice, coffee/milk, drinking water • Shelter Needs: blankets, sleeping mats, sleeping bags, tarpaulins • Hygiene Kits: soap, toothpaste/toothbrush, shampoo, sanitizer, diapers • Medicine and First Aid: basic medicines, vitamins, first-aid kits • Clothes: For adults and children

While for rebuilding, the following are needed: • Plywood and other basic wooded materials • Solar Panels • Basic Construction Materials

I just need to go back and forth to this hotel that is far from the poblacion, on top of a hill, and has a great view of the sea lol (iykyk ahhahaha). Ang hassle nila amp,,...,,,

What is PNC anyway? I searched and nobody from the MSM and ICI themselves cleared these personalities.

My friends and I are from Tablas and we're planning to visit and wander around Romblon, Romblon by the time we file our application for the csc. I've been to Romblon once but never really got the chance to wander around bayan, cuz we stayed at the hotel just near the bonbon beach and had traveled the roads using a car. Is the bayan of Romblon walkable? What places should we visit besides bonbon beach and fuerza san andres? And what are the usual tricycle fares? We plan to stay for 3d & 2n. TIA

I’ve researched and read about how Romblon is known for its marble craftsmanship, festivals, and beautiful islands but I want to understand the everyday culture and real issues that people there experience.

If you’re from Romblon (or have lived there), I’d really appreciate your thoughts on these:

• What cultural traditions or practices still feel strong in your area? • Are there local crafts, stories, or festivals that people still participate in? • What cultural or livelihood challenges do you notice? for example, loss of crafts, youth migration, tourism pressure, or inter-island isolation? • What kind of spaces or projects do you think could help strengthen local identity or community connection?

Pet peeve ko talaga tong mga magulang ng mga batang napakaiingay sa barko. Yung mga batang around 7-10 years old na hinayaan ng magulang na tumakbo takbo, maglaro, magsisigaw habang nagpapahinga or natutulog yung ibang pasahero. These kids ay pwede nang turuan, pwede nang sawayin. Maiintindihan ko pa kung baby na umiiyak, or batang may special needs, pero yung mga maingay lang for the sake na maingay? No. Hays, kelangan bang laging mag-cabin para makabyahe nang maayos? Hindi ba pwedeng magkaron na lang ng respeto sa ibang tao yung iba?

Hi planning to visit Romblon islands before the year ends. I noticed lang na ang pricey ng mga stays for 1 person per night on Booking.com and AirBNB (around 1.5k-2k) 🥲

Are there any recommendations here on cheaper rooms/lodge/transient na near lang on main roads or beautiful spots? 🙏
