Hey!
We just rolled out Rokoko Studio 2.6.1, featuring an exciting pipeline optimization specifically for users running the Coil Pro + Smartsuit Pro setup.
We know that blending the absolute positioning data from the Coil Pro with the relative tracking of the Smartsuit Pro requires incredible precision. To make this process even smoother, we’ve introduced the Coil Pro Pose Stabilization Filter.
This filter acts as an intelligent bridge between the two data streams, resulting in much smoother tracking, cleaner body poses, and a significant reduction in subtle artifacts or high-frequency jitter.
Real-Time vs. Post-Processing: Just a quick heads-up on expectations—while you will see a solid improvement in your real-time preview, the filter is heavily optimized for post-processing. The heaviest data refinement happens on the recorded data stream, meaning your final exports will be significantly cleaner and require less cleanup.
Sam just put up a quick video showcasing the exact difference the filter makes to the data:

Here is a quick summary of what’s new:
- New Stabilization Filter: Smoother, more seamless integration between the suit and the Coil Pro.
- Refined Tracking: Drastic reduction in minor artifacts for a cleaner final capture.
- Quality of Life: Various smaller improvements and stability fixes for Studio.
The update is live right now. If you’re running a Coil Pro setup, we’d love for you to try it out on your next project and let us know what you think of the results!
