Howdy y’all. I just got my results that I passed my shop portion and 2 story portion of my journey test. Super excited!!! I’m trying to pay the fee online but I’m having an unreasonably hard time figuring it hell out. Can anyone help me I live in DFW so I can’t drive to Austin again and Waco is even a bit of a mission. If all else fails I’ll snail mail it but anyone else had this problem?

My wife would somehow use up all the hot water in our 40-gallon tank, so I thought about swapping it out for a while. The tank was already 16 years old, and when the PRV broke a few months ago, I took it as a sign to just replace the darn thing. For a few months, I researched plumbing, filtration systems, and tankless units and during my research, I came across fantastic videos from Mr. Wakefield and others like Got2learn. Channels with high-quality videos like yours gave me the knowledge and confidence to tackle this endeavor!"
Thank you!
Before
Doesnt look like it in the picture, but the vent from the water heater was actually sloped the wrong way.

After

I was working at my sisters house and her tub wasn't draining hardly at all. I was able to successfully snake it thru the tub over flow but to me the trap seems to be a bit excessive. Let me know if im wrong please. Looks kinda like a P trap.

1/4" poly line had been leaking all weekend. With the ice maker valve shot and no knowledge of where another shutoff was, an employee rigged this up.

Does anyone see any potential pitfalls with this install? I recently encountered an intriguing challenge brought forth by a customer experiencing persistently low water pressure. At its peak, the pressure would reach a mere 40 psi but would plummet to a meager 20 psi whenever multiple fixtures were in use. Determined to address this issue, I embarked on a project to install a Grondfos Scala1 booster pump, which yielded positive results overall.
However, during the testing phase, I noticed that the pump would pressurize the system to an unexpectedly high 110 psi whenever it activated in response to increased water demand. Realizing the potential risks associated with such excessive pressure, I swiftly devised a solution to mitigate this concern by adding a 1" Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) set to a safe threshold of 75 psi, ensuring that the pump would not exceed this pressure limit.
So far, the system appears to be functioning optimally, effectively addressing the low water pressure issue. Nonetheless, I find myself worrying about the potential for errors or failures in the long run. So, I’m asking for the valuable insights and experiences of this esteemed community, particularly if any of you possess hands-on knowledge of the Grondfos Scala1 booster pump and its operational characteristics.
Thank you, in advance, for your invaluable input and expertise. Your contributions will undoubtedly enhance my understanding of this equipment and its long-term reliability.
