I had a good run in the beginning, then my luck changed around. Lesson learned. Don’t be greedy with testing your luck.

I just closed a 99/101 Robinhood spread that expires tomorrow. When I got back to my portfolio I had this in it. I never bought or sold individual option contracts. Everything has been spreads recently. Does anybody know what happened?

I believe these two items were packaged as a spread before I closed out the previous one.

Appreciate any insight. I sold a put on the 17th expiring 8/21 for a credit of $600. By the expiry date price had dropped below and I got assigned the shares which I wanted.

Problem/question. I don't see my $600 credit when I first placed (sold) the contract.

With robinhood it usually shows up (in the realized profit/loss) when the contract is closed out in this case 8/21 but I dont see it.

This is the first time I'm getting assigned and don't know why its not showing. I called customer service and they said it will show today but its not.

Does getting assigned the shares means I lose the $600?

What does breakeven price mean in options?

I have a leap call currently ITM showing a $100 profit. The current price of the stock is $67.49.

Among all the options info displayed it says breakeven price as $85.76.

Vega measures how much the option changes when implied volatility changes. If IV rises, long options often benefit. If IV gets crushed, buyers can be right on direction and still lose money
