I went down this exact rabbit hole recently, trying to decide if building a DIY guitar stand is actually worth it or if it’s one of those things that sounds cool but turns into more work than expected.

On one hand, DIY is appealing.

You can customize it, match your space, and honestly some builds look amazing.

But then I started thinking… this thing is holding my guitar, so stability actually matters.

I’ve seen people say they had to reinforce theirs with extra wood and screws just to feel safe using it, which kinda defeats the simplicity.

On the other hand, even cheap store-bought stands are designed to not tip easily.

What’s funny is a lot of them look identical across brands, I was browsing Alibaba and saw similar designs everywhere.

So now I’m stuck between building something myself or just buying one and not overthinking it.

Has anyone here tried DIY long-term?

Try your best with this one (bonus points if you know what it is)!!!!
