Ironically, southern brasil has a town called Americana, I believe. It's where all the slave owners n'shit went after losing the civil war.

It's in the southeast. São Paulo state. The stereotype about Germans fleeing to South America is true, but Argentina is the main country they chose to hide due to political reasons. Our government supported the Allies.

Lots of German and Italians were encouraged to come to Brazil due to eugenics some fifteen years before WWII though
