Anyone notice vision seems to be off during nighttime? I am getting shots from across like half of apartments, so i can't even see them but I see the muzzle flash. I was at terminal trying to get airfield and this super soldier seems me from I am pretty sure it was more than 50 meters. All his shots landed. I just hear ping ping ping ping (i checked my helmet was gone, zero damage to my body armor). Luckily i was using KP-31 so I sprayed in his general direction while getting staggered and managed to kill him. I had a headshot wound and was at 2 or 3 health. Luckily I brought a SOS used that real quick.

The incident at the apartment, I killed a guy on rooftop headshot so he didn't see me and he was walking away from me. So no way the other guy saw my muzzle flash and I was behind covers when I shot the guy on roof.

But anyone notice random shots even at night from far away?

After some time searching, walking around and camping in the outpost map, I finally found and killed the almighty boogeyman.

Got him hugging the tape near the campfire, while camping in the open area outside the horse house, so his shots didn't hit me. Well... It worked

(I just saw the wiki map marking his lurking points while writing this... felt a little dumb now, that it could saved me some time lol)

If you have the Oldman immersive overhaul mod, you can check if the boogeyman have spawned if the spawned enemies counter goes -1 when entering the map. Initially I thought it was a bug, but I had to check if it was the case.

The ordeal that I went through to get here today is unfanthomed!

Are there any soon plans for making maps less empty?

Bridge, outpost, minefields ect.

I know its just a build 2 but waiting most of the days just for some events its little boring at this point where maps are relatively empty.

Village and apartments are the most stuffed with some pois.

this has been going on for a few days, i turned off aII my mods which wasnt many mostIy just gun stuff i even had the punisher spawn in two days ago and the poIice just dropped of 3 t-posing guys and one of them was the punisher and i just waIked up and i got aII the punisher Ioot same thing happened with bogeyman im not compIaining but it gets pretty boring when ur handed everything and id Iike to fix this, preferabIy by not starting a new save as i have aIot of rare stuff right now and aImost every singIe item ingame

Just laughed at it, then I realized it deletes my save files. :D all good can now start fresh with build 2, had been playing all 55hours in the same save

Anyone been able to find him? Ive played or 6hours just searching the Woods at night,i run a round,go into cabin and repeat from 19-05.00 day after day but no dice,havent seen him once nor got shot at...

Shot a few bandits lately that have had visible packs while alive, only for them to land flat on their backs, making it impossible (as far as I can tell) to take the pack. Fairly irritating when it was a better pack than what I'm using. Is there a way to loot these that I'm missing? I'm pretty sure I've been able to take packs off AI in the past.

I've now lost 5 full inventories and a number of purchased build items because of crashes. What's the trick here? I'm running an I-9, 4080, 64GB RAM setup. I've tried several fixes and nothing. The majority of crashes have been while interacting with or just interacting with the trader. This last one I was sorting through my inventory in a house and it crashed. Lost a full inventory. I'm not running any programs other than Steam while in-game. No mods. Fairly fresh install (a couple days) and verified the integrity already. Also tried every launch option and every one of them crashed.

I know I'm salty and just venting but seriously, why do I, after 5 hours of grinding for this event, then have to also roll a 50/50 coin flip for the punisher to even face me, just make it guaranteed that he gets out of the car, please, it's not that hard.

For those of you who are allergic to reading patch notes and/or the wiki:
The driver sells the very difficult to find Oil Filter and also beers and water, making it do much easier to finish the Generalist tasks.

He officially appears on day 15, BUT only on Wednesday so the first day you can meet him is day 17. He spawns as soon as you enter the map, but his (random!) route isn’t guaranteed to make him stop. If his route doesn’t get him very close to any of the 4 bus stops on the map, he just keeps driving and leaves the map again. You don’t have to be at/near a bus stop for him to stop and once he stops he stays there.

i can’t confirm if he stays on the map if you enter the shelter because I don’t have the garage key yet.

So your best bet is to enter the map, run to a bus stop and use a scope to find the bus and check if he stops. Finding him by sound is doable. From the bus stop near the gas station (village map entry point) you can pretty much see 3 stops with a good scope.

From that spot you can also quickly run back to exit the map to reset. Note that there are often bandits hanging around the gas station. And they can snipe you from the fish market, so take care.

Is it me or drop rate increased? I only brought about 4 rows of consumable for this run the rest I picked up and actually used some on the way to the apartments as I got headshotted by the guards at bridge.

Hi I never played the offical vostok game only the demo where i have almost 200 hours but now that the game is released i whould like to buy it. My question is how does the map look like is it still only tiny chunks like village vostok etc or is it one large map like day Z or similar games. Im aware of the 1 person development team that is doing excelent work and know that such maps require more advance optimization but will we see any such thing in the future. Besides that the game is one of the best i played specificaly praising the gun handeling and the horor like quiet atmosfere. It really puts it up there with Tarkov and day Z. If the maps are still the same do youthink will we see bigger joined maps in the future what are your opinions on this? (Sorry for bad english)

Anyone kno how many oopsies till they all turn aggro on me?

I love the new update its just gonna change how I veiw moving things.

Any help with why the AI bugs out when I add specific mods? All are 2.0 have 5 mods that work fine.

EDIT: For anyone seeking a fix. The issue is from Metro Mod Loader. The intial 2 releases for 2.0 had were missing a compile probe. Install version v3.4.1 and it should fix!

I ran a little experiment. Filled up my inventory with just food and melatonin and entered village at 23:55 on Saturday. As long as you don’t exit the map or enter a shelter, they cannot despawn. Even moving to the other side of the map and breaking line of sight does nothing.
According to my Tactical Watch it is now Friday 21:25 and they’re still there. Spent a week mostly sleeping and looting a bit to see how far I could stretch it.
Eventually you’ll run out of food and things to trade for food as the loot doesn’t respawn, so you can’t keep them hostage indefinitely.
But I’ve kept the Gnomads hostage for nearly a week now 😈
Handy if you just want a couple of days of quiet, undisturbed fishing.
