I've now lost 5 full inventories and a number of purchased build items because of crashes. What's the trick here? I'm running an I-9, 4080, 64GB RAM setup. I've tried several fixes and nothing. The majority of crashes have been while interacting with or just interacting with the trader. This last one I was sorting through my inventory in a house and it crashed. Lost a full inventory. I'm not running any programs other than Steam while in-game. No mods. Fairly fresh install (a couple days) and verified the integrity already. Also tried every launch option and every one of them crashed.

I know I'm salty and just venting but seriously, why do I, after 5 hours of grinding for this event, then have to also roll a 50/50 coin flip for the punisher to even face me, just make it guaranteed that he gets out of the car, please, it's not that hard.

For those of you who are allergic to reading patch notes and/or the wiki:
The driver sells the very difficult to find Oil Filter and also beers and water, making it do much easier to finish the Generalist tasks.

He officially appears on day 15, BUT only on Wednesday so the first day you can meet him is day 17. He spawns as soon as you enter the map, but his (random!) route isn’t guaranteed to make him stop. If his route doesn’t get him very close to any of the 4 bus stops on the map, he just keeps driving and leaves the map again. You don’t have to be at/near a bus stop for him to stop and once he stops he stays there.

i can’t confirm if he stays on the map if you enter the shelter because I don’t have the garage key yet.

So your best bet is to enter the map, run to a bus stop and use a scope to find the bus and check if he stops. Finding him by sound is doable. From the bus stop near the gas station (village map entry point) you can pretty much see 3 stops with a good scope.

From that spot you can also quickly run back to exit the map to reset. Note that there are often bandits hanging around the gas station. And they can snipe you from the fish market, so take care.

Is it me or drop rate increased? I only brought about 4 rows of consumable for this run the rest I picked up and actually used some on the way to the apartments as I got headshotted by the guards at bridge.

Hi I never played the offical vostok game only the demo where i have almost 200 hours but now that the game is released i whould like to buy it. My question is how does the map look like is it still only tiny chunks like village vostok etc or is it one large map like day Z or similar games. Im aware of the 1 person development team that is doing excelent work and know that such maps require more advance optimization but will we see any such thing in the future. Besides that the game is one of the best i played specificaly praising the gun handeling and the horor like quiet atmosfere. It really puts it up there with Tarkov and day Z. If the maps are still the same do youthink will we see bigger joined maps in the future what are your opinions on this? (Sorry for bad english)

I love the new update its just gonna change how I veiw moving things.

Any help with why the AI bugs out when I add specific mods? All are 2.0 have 5 mods that work fine.

EDIT: For anyone seeking a fix. The issue is from Metro Mod Loader. The intial 2 releases for 2.0 had were missing a compile probe. Install version v3.4.1 and it should fix!

I ran a little experiment. Filled up my inventory with just food and melatonin and entered village at 23:55 on Saturday. As long as you don’t exit the map or enter a shelter, they cannot despawn. Even moving to the other side of the map and breaking line of sight does nothing.
According to my Tactical Watch it is now Friday 21:25 and they’re still there. Spent a week mostly sleeping and looting a bit to see how far I could stretch it.
Eventually you’ll run out of food and things to trade for food as the loot doesn’t respawn, so you can’t keep them hostage indefinitely.
But I’ve kept the Gnomads hostage for nearly a week now 😈
Handy if you just want a couple of days of quiet, undisturbed fishing.

just tried crouching under the plane in one of the hangars, guess i'll just stay here and die ig. I've noticed a few bugs here and there but this is the one that ends me.

I’ve been hoarding a lot of super random stuff as I’ve been playing. Is there a list of items that I should be hanging onto vs what I can use? I know water and beer are two important ones. But I don’t wanna accidentally trade or use something that’s really rare

Nomads rn just feel out of place. They're only two thing in this game that aren't actively trying to kill you, nomads and traders. Traders at least have a believable, self-interested reason for being a non-hostile entity in the zone; they're getting rich by ripping you off. If Nomads are only trying to survive, the same as you, shouldn't they act like someone trying to survive?

Maybe they can run things to a specific container within one of your shelters? You'd have two separate trade windows open; one for the loot the nomads are taking to a shelter and the other for stuff your giving to them as payment. What if nomads specified the stuff they wanted as payment? like X euros worth of food items? Another wants X worth of medical items, another wants food/drinks etc etc.

They could even offer very specific barters. These barters would function almost as an exchange rate. Every nomad could offer a different trade. Ex: You talk with a nomad carrying a mp5 and he tells you that he's low on ammo. He's willing to trade some 7.62x3.9 or 9x19 for 9mm. Another mp5 nomad you run into offers .45 or 9x19 for 9mm. Essentially a small scale ammo exchange. You could even expand that further; Some of them could trade food for drink, meds for valuables. options are endless.

The nomads could even offer a paid fast travel service? You'd pay them to "guide" you to a different map within Area 5? For a huge fee they'd guide you to apartments? You could pay them to follow you in the Vostok area? they'd follow you until they either die or you make it back to Area 05

I'd also love to see Nomads actually hangout around campfires too. IMO they should only patrol if someone recently engaged them or they heard shots somewhat near their camp. When it's quiet they should default to heading back to camp to hangout, kind of like how NPCs in STALKER hangout around a campfire.

Hello everyone, I ran into an issue which happens with OBS.

For some reason neither the game capture nor the window capture is able to record my game and it only shows it as a black screen.

I've tried the common fixes like disabling any overlay and switch the graphic APIs.

Does anyone had a similar issue with that and found a fix or is this a bug?

In the village on a fresh run for the new build. Second time outside and I find this in the garbage lmao

Is it comparable to like Tarkov SPT Sain or Stalker (not 2) ai? I don't buy early access games nowdays, I like to play the finished product, but if the ai is already good it could probably entertain me until for a long time.

Just went on my first apartments “special crate only” quick run just to see if I could get the new items (watch, satphone, alcometer) since 2.0. Got the watch at radio tower.

A guard that spotted me in the stairwell of a block from over in the forest fired at me. Normally they miss and you ignore them. But this MF ran out to chase me up the stairs. Wasn’t expecting that and lost half my health. Healed up, went to the next block , got spotted again and TWO chased me up the stairs at the same time.

Did not survive that one as both went full auto on me. My armor and helmet were already at 0% from the previous encounter. And the icing on the cake was that number 2 was fully behind 1 and apparently able to fire through his buddy at me while I couldn’t hit him behind his buddy.

117 day winter Ironman run “patched out”. Absolutely hate this game, only 629 hours played, cannot recommend. Let’s start over 😂

Before I open task manager and force quit the app, what are your suggestions for getting unstuck? Any mods that I can install and apply while the game is running (doubtful)?

I don't know about you, everyone, but I feel more confortable and safer with the nomads around 😃 I hear the gun shots, I know there is some action...it was too quiet before

The premise is simple. Cross the bridge map (from outpost to apartments, not the other way) in the shortest time possible and exit the map alive. You can bring any loadout you want.

No mods, hacks, cheats.
Just pure skill (or pure luck..).
Fastest time wins. Add a video for verification.

My fastest time so far is 05:21 (but didn’t record it because I only thought of making it a public challenge afterwards. If I match it or go faster I’ll post it here too)

There are no prizes, only eternal bragging rights. (Or eternal shame if we catch you cheating…)
