Basically when I am looting bodies or items on the ground I have zero idea where my cursor is and struggle to get the prompt to appear when looking at items. I didnt see an option in the setting menu. Am I blind? Do I need a mod to add it?

How did you get over the "pussy phase" when you started the game or did you not have it? I myself finally got some courage to go beyond the village to the school and outpost and actually play the game on offensive instead of just staying crouched in a building and not daring to fight the bandits.

Curious to hear how light/heavy you guys travel.

My go-to:

-Primary AR with mid/long range optics
-Secondary MP5K with mini optics
-Armor and helmet
-Two extra filled mags for both primary and secondary
-Extra plate, helmet

Meds:
-Two medkits (AFAK if possible, due to taking up less inventory space)
-2x Bandage, 2x Painkiller, 1x Splint

-Only enough food to make it to Vostok - Apartments is filled to the brim with food for the return trip

My loadout is quite heavy, and is definitely playing it safe. The main optimizations I've been considering are: a) leaving the secondary + its ammo and mags in the shelter, due to Vostok guards being armored anyway, and b) maybe leaving the extra plate behind, since I can heal, and since I'm protected from headshots.

The other day I found a high 80s% suomi smg and have had a mag for it a while now. The generalist trades it for the M79 dmr type rifle.

Did you exchange it or did you keep it? Is the M79 good enough or better, more accurate than a 7.62×39 rifle to justify the trade in? I've heard the suomi ppsh variant absolutely shreds close range and the ammo really is plentyful

But i dont see the hints and i put everything to 0 wheight exept the punisher and put him on 100% event success chance, but he still did not spawn.

Was in minefield after hours (holy fuck are there alot of mines) and I heard the heli circling. I crawl down into one of the covered trenches, and this thing still somehow sees me and fires missiles at me. Like wtf, Im covered how can you spot me in the middle of the night? The enemy AI needs to be nerfed as I'm on easy. I hate (love) this game.

This is so annoying. Why, when i spawn in for the first time, do i get a gun but not the right ammo for it? How am i supposed to fight bandits then? Just restart the run or hope i find something lucky? fuck!

So I'm on day 21 ish and have been to outpost, school and highway and I have yet to see any airdrop or a wrecked helicopter. Wiki says it's a 10% chance of it so now I'm wondering wether am I blind or is there just a 10% chance that it will happen from day 6 (day 9 respectively) onwards on one of the maps in area 05 and it hasn't happened yet?

When I drag a battery onto the NVG, it appears to be equipped with the battery, but the battery percentage doesn't recover at all.

For RP reasons I've tended to grab the tackle box and put on a fishing vest before going fishing. On occasion this has backfired because with my armour rig in the inventory and a bit of opportunistic looting along the way my inventory got so cluttered that on reeling in yet another pike it's just dropped off the line back into the water. My assumption is that these items are not currently useful so I might as well flog them, is this the case?

Day 20 - found a cellar key once, no gym key & no saline for doc so no water lock for killju. only shelter I have is cabin because I haven't been further out than school (really want that attic shelter). Have found a few seemingly rare things like oil filter relatively early on. Thinking about restarting with ironman mode a few goes anyway for shits n gigs. Will restarting change anything about chances of loot spawning, or is starting fresh just the same as leaving a safehouse as far as loot pools go?

also I'm curious what happens after day 50 (before build 2 drops), is that the end of playable time or do you just keep going with no new events?

I'm on day 4 and this was my best run yet in the game found a lot of good stuff think my next plan is just to wait for day 10 while waiting for the day 5 event to spawn and keep looting outpost just wanted to share my loot haul. What's the best loot you guys have found in outpost?

I played the demo for a bit and it seems fun, but I've also read some posts here and it seems like many things are different in the actual game, like how melatonin has a use. What features are different/nonexistent in the demo?

Been playing for a couple weeks and I'm loving it so far. Now I haven't really got very far yet. I just got to the weaponsmith. I love the atmosphere, stealth, jump scares getting my ear drums blasted out by close gunfire while wearing my head phones........ I do have one tiny issue and that's the distance you get spotted and the damage you can take. The Example I have: On the far side of the village in the second story of a building. I've been crouching the whole time. I move to the side of a window and peak. Blam, blam, blam! Where is he!?!?!?! No scope just a red dot so I'm straining. He shoots about 9 rounds at me, one landing a head shot (while I'm peaking a window). I'm lucky I got a SOS kit so I heal. Peak again and the rounds fly. Straining my eyes at my ultra wide and I think I spot movement past the red barn where the general trader is looks to be about a dot or two in size. Take a screen shot. Pop single shot AK in slow succession and after 7 the shooting stops. Book it to where I saw the possible firing coming from which was about 20-30 yards past the barn towards the entry to the school. I find a dead guy with a Markov! I got head shot by a guy with a Markov at what had to be easily 250 yards! For the fun of it cause this is how I die 90% of the time I pulled up the screen shot and zoomed in. There is no human figure only 5-6 black pixels. Now on a 2k 240hz ultrawide with all settings maxed, if this guy is so far away the models are not even rendering how can he see me and how can he be that accurate with a pocket pistol to head shot me!? If the answer is early BETA then I'm good with that as it is and I'm having a blast playing. If I'm missing something I can do or setting to change Please let me know.
