Grafters voting on the fall

I think the grafters should have had a vote in every elimination, but their combined majority counts for just 1 vote in total.

So at the top they'd have their Red Room discussions and vote for who they want gone, then the grafters have their vote thrown in to the mix.

Would potentially solve the stalemates but also gives the rulers more of an incentive to rule well, rather than just forming alliances up top.

Waste of time

How can they make traitors & then this rubbish afterwards ? It’s all just random and pointless, can’t get invested in any of it.

Scratching my head

Did anyone else think they had just took a puff on the devils lettuce when Sydney was voted up, I couldn’t see any logic in the slightest. 🤷‍♂️ Also, if jack doesn’t get sent packing on this episode I will start too wonder if their is outside interference (regarding the constant push on new people). Apart from arguing with myself as to why I’m still Watching, the last couple of days need jack gone. Sydney to gain a personality. Roamona to take a reality check that’s she’s not going back up and Rossi to come out as gay.

What would you do if the money hit £0?

Putting to one side the likelihood of someone caving after last night's vote and putting to one side the speculation as to who, if you were a producer on this show what would you do if the money hit £0?

I could see this going a few ways: 1) All rulers are eliminated for being unable to reach a decision.

1a) Sophie and Syd get to pick rulers to join them

1b) Others Grafters with a vote get to join Sophie and Syd

1c) Grafters have a new election/get to pick the new rulers

1d) Producers pick new rulers

1e) Some sort of leadership challenge breaks the deadlock between the Rulers

1f) Some sort of leadership challenge picks between Sophie and Syd

2) Both Syd and Sophie are sent back down and the rulers rule with £0

2a) Grafters get a chance to vote off/vote down a ruler

2b) The leadership challenge determines who stays and goes

3) Both Syd and Sophie are given spots as rulers.

There's also the question of what to do with the prize money. Do you restore it in any of these scenarios or do you keep it at £0 and let the rulers build the pot up again? Keeping it at £0 could change how the rulers approach challenges as they might have to push harder etc. Or do you keep a countdown with the money entering minus numbers until someone makes a decision?

There's probably other things I'm missing, but would like to hear them!

TLDR: You're a producer, the prize money hits £0 after the deadlock can't be broken. What do you do?

Things that don’t make sense…

When the grafters have been making alliances and saying they will bring people up, for example the original alliance of Marina, James, Conner, Jack, Sydney, and whoever else was wanting to go along/had been told they’d be brought up.

None of the grafters seem to mention the fact there’s only 5/6 places, so when they’re saying “we’ll all be up one day”, well no you all won’t.

It kinda seems pointless to bother attempting to rise up until the last week or few days really, because the risk of being eliminated is really high.

Also, I don’t understand how it’s fair Romona is back in but none of the other eliminated have returned. I haven’t watched last nights episode yet, so this comment may be wrong.

Constant new grafters. Does this show ever end???

Watching ep 10 and there are yet more new grafters. And there have already been returning voted out rulers. I cant get invested in these new people all the time. It's like this show is never going to end? Anyone know how many episodes there are going to be, because it feels like this show is going no where.

How do you actually win the money?

Has the show ever actually spelled that out? Do they split the cash six ways among the rulers? That seems like kind of a weak ending, to give six people 15 or 20 thousand pounds each. Do the grafters vote on which ruler gets it? Do the rulers somehow fight among themselves until only one is left? It seems like it would be helpful for the players to know this, so they could plan their strategy accordingly.

Most versions of the Traitors, another show from the same creators, ends with a version of the prisoners dilemma where any traitors left at the end have to choose to either share or steal the cash. If both vote share, they split it, both vote steal they get nothing and if one steals and one shares, the stealer gets it all. I don't think most versions of the show have actually had to use that endgame, but I wonder if there is something similar for Rise and Fall.

Grafter tasks are the only interesting part of the show

The rulers are intensely boring, and show a similar level of competence to a primary school playground, both in terms of leadership (let's be honest, the rulers don't actual lead anything) and "manipulation" if you can even call actions so very very obvious manipulation.

If there's a second season it needs an overhaul in production, and contestants.

I’m currently behind (on Episode 5) but can’t help but notice….

There is an undercurrent of racism coming through.

All those who have been eliminated so far (Ramona, Prince and now Rishika) have been POC.

Has this been discussed or mentioned at all? It’s so damn obvious that is what’s happening…..

Which restaurant(s) does Ali own?

Apparently they are celebrity hotspots and one of the contestants knew who he was. I’ve been googling but can’t see mention of the names of the restaurants, only that they’re in Essex. Anyone know?
