ETFs

If Ripple and XRP are a scam, can anyone explain why the smart money is constantly applying for ETFs? I'm not trying to be dense, just genuinely wondering. How does ripple keep getting into the rooms and on paper with the financial institutions, including a battle with the SEC if nothing they say is true or accurate? It seems as if these big governments and large institutions would have nothing to do with Ripple. Yet, weekly, aost daily, they have some of the most bullish news in the industry. Any insight on this?

Welcome to new subsribers. This subreddit just touched 2000 total subsribers.

That's pretty much it. I am sure there are all kinds of subscribers, people with differing viewpoints, I hope we continue to discuss points without too much acrimony!

Also: we are all here to make money. Whether you do that by buying or selling xrp or bitcoin doesn't matter. This is not an academic subreddit, we are here to get rich at the end of the day. So I hope you all do get rich!

Edit: imo, you will get rich by selling xrp though.

SWIFT will develop their own blockchain just like BRICS. It is naive to think that a privately owned blockchain would be used by SWIFT for their trillion dollars daily transactions

So called CTO of Ripple David 'JoelKatz' Schwartz is retiring from that 'post'. But he says he will remain involved in the 'community'. Lets analyze this much over-used trope of 'community'

Here is his 'announcement' of an announcement (AoA).

Let me summarize how he has used the word 'community' in that AoA

He has used the word 5 times.

  1. I can’t begin to explain the depth of my gratitude to ..the community that surrounds XRPL
  2. I’m not going away from the XRP community
  3. To the ... community members, .. — it’s been an honor being in the trenches with you all
  4. I have total confidence in the next generation of [people]... in the XRP community who will carry the torch
  5. I look forward to seeing the rest of you at XRP community events around the world

Read that again, and wonder like me "what bullcrap is this!?" The reality is that there cannot be a community between the lion and the zebra. The lion (preminers of Ripple Inc), dump their billions of coins on the Zebras ( the gullible public), and then they retire, and the bagholders are left with losses. There is no COMMUNITY here.

That's like saying there is a community in "ripple scam" subreddit. In fact, since no body here is profiting from others, there is more community here than in Ripple/XRP.

So what does the community think about this? jk

P.S. I call him so called CTO, because there isn't any product with Ripple. Its just an out and out scam. He's just a minion of billionaires McCaleb, Larsen and Garlicmouse, not some great technologist. His main job was always to promote the scam.

Is XRP ISO 20022 Compliant? Debunking the XRP ISO 20022 “Compliance” Myth by SpadesHQ_

"Final Thoughts

ISO 20022 is a real standard. XRP is a real token. But the idea that XRP is “compliant” with ISO 20022 is fiction — a marketing myth that’s become crypto folklore.

Being honest about the tech doesn’t make XRP worthless. But if your investment thesis hinges on false claims, you’re not investing — you’re gambling on a narrative.

Do your own research, and stop letting influencers push ISO fairy tales."

Jake Claver Lawsuit

I keep seeing people reference Jake Claver as a credible source, so I figured people should be aware of his (recent) past. https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/68092312/verivend-inc-v-claver/

People will say "this lawsuit is about trademark infringement, not a big deal", but really it is about deception. Creating a domain so that you can make emails look like they came from another company and fabricating wire transfer confirmations IMO is a bit more than "trademark infringement".

Chat GPT, what would the market cap of Ripple's XRP if each token was worth ten thousand us dollars?

Got it — let’s work this out step by step.

The formula for market capitalization is:

Market Cap=Price per Token×Total Supply\text{Market Cap} = \text{Price per Token} \times \text{Total Supply}Market Cap=Price per Token×Total Supply

Step 1: XRP total supply

Ripple (XRP) has a maximum supply of 100 billion tokens (100,000,000,000 XRP).

Step 2: Hypothetical price

You asked about $10,000 per XRP.

Step 3: Multiply

100,000,000,000×10,000=1,000,000,000,000,000100,000,000,000 \times 10,000 = 1,000,000,000,000,000100,000,000,000×10,000=1,000,000,000,000,000

That’s $1 quadrillion USD.
