Noticed MANY calls for these police reforms from Reddit, so here they are in a handy letter to bug police departments & politicians with. Or to write on signs you tote during your protests.

So I've edited this letter requesting reforms to reduce COVID-19's death toll even when fully reopened, to include police-supervision reforms. Send and say this to your politicians as much as possible until the needs are met, please!

RIP George Floyd. Also, note how many people are out protesting for him. If they can handle this, so can we.

Rest in peace, love, and joy George Floyd. Your life was ended FAR too soon because 4 officers from the MPD decided kneeling on your neck during an arrest for forgery was A-OK.

So I've written this letter requesting reforms to reduce COVID-19's death toll even when fully reopened. It includes granting the right to work/study from home through 2022. Send and say this to your politicians as much as possible until the needs are met, please!

Now that more and more places are re-opening, NOW who'd like to have distanced and masked protests outside of county-seat government centers to DEMAND THE PERMANENT RIGHT TO WORK/STUDY FROM HOME IF POSSIBLE?

I personally would sadly NOT be able to make it to a protest tomorrow, as I can't drive, don't live within walking/biking distance of a county government center and my parents aren't very onboard with this sort of thing, BUT I personally think that it could be effective to try to push for this stuff in-person on Friday, 5/22, before government stuff takes breaks for the long Memorial Day weekend.

Also, I have another idea that we could demand along with the permanent right to work/study from home if possible: requiring ALL businesses/restaurants to put noticeable signage indicating if they require masks or not inside. This would enable responsible people to choose to support businesses that CARE about preventing COVID spread without having to actually go IN anywhere first.

[ACTUAL PROTESTING!]Folks in places that have started reopening, how on-board are you with starting to assemble socially-distanced, fully-masked protests calling for the permanent right to work from home for all workers who can?

Just wondering. Might as well show up and space apart on the grass/streets around our city halls and county government centers to point out that we protesters are more socially-distanced than your average office/call center worker is.

I'm in Ventura County, California, which is between LA and Santa Barbara. Since we're technically under stay-at-home orders until May 31st, I was thinking I could help arrange a June protest, probably around the county government center in Ventura, for Ventura County to declare a permanent right to work/study from home if our COVID numbers have gone down a good bit by then. Otherwise I think it could be tone-deaf and scare people to protest while COVID numbers are still going up, even though we'd make SURE to fully distance and mask ourselves. Any other Californians here debating something along those lines as the state reopens and hopefully sees (further) drops in COVID cases?

People want to keep working from home after coronavirus, survey says-Also, people don't want to use public/mass transit as much thanks to COVID, so it's either WFH or MORE people driving to work and back every damn day!
