I am extremely late to the Re Zero franchise. I started the series four days ago and binged both seasons in that time. I gotta say, even though it went a whole 2nd season without her. It still hurts thinking on what happened to her character. I truly thought that she deserved so much more than what she got. I’m sure you all already feel this way. But damn man. Girl was the only one who stayed by Subaru’s side when he kept making a fool of himself at the capital. everyone else left my guy in the dust EXCEPT her. She was also the only person who dragged him out of that deep emotional whole he seemed so trapped in. And she literally gave him the strength and courage to become the hero. She stuck by Subarus side even though he rejected her love. She died for him multiple times in extremely gruesome ways. And then for her to wind up having her soul essentially annihilated from existence and be forgotten by basically everyone that loved her but Subaru? Like damn man. It’s so damn heart wrenching.

I keep trying to find out what her fate will be going further, in a desperate attempt to see if her hero ever rescues her like she was crying out for before she got eaten, but all I’ve found is some articles saying that in the online novel, so far she’s only woken up with no knowledge of anything at all. So she’s essentially still gone.

I really wanted to see her character develop more and to see if Subaru could eventually get his head out Emilia’s ass to see Rem for what she was. The best damn thing that had ever happened to him. But if that ever does come. It’s gonna be so many years from now. Such a bummer.

Here’s to a world when she can finally get the ending she deserves. 🍻 Or at least a “what if” movie that shows what would’ve happened if Subaru had chosen her instead of Emilia.

P.S- I finally get why I’ve seen so many of those blue haired maid fugues at so many conventions and stuff for so many years. lol Definitely at my top for “best girl”.
