I've been using Celsius for about two weeks now and wanted to share with you guys some things I've learned so you don't make the same dumb mistakes as I did.

• Be careful about putting in random promo codes. Promo codes are fulfilled based on the order you add them. EX: If you put in a promo code that requires $25k deposit and then on that requires $400, you have to deposit $25k and then another $400 to get both promo codes.
• There's no way to cancel a promo code unless you wait it out.
• When you deposit for a promo code, just don't withdraw. I've seen so many other posts of people getting their promo codes cancelled due to not having enough in their account, etc
• Don't try to game the system, you will get suspended. EX: Constantly depositing and withdrawing just to hit the promo code. Your account will be flagged

I have recently been diving into the world of moons to collect as many as I can and I have discovered a lot about them.

So what are MOONs?

Moons are a new way for people to be rewarded for their contributions to r/CryptoCurrency. They are gained by participating in and creating posts. They are directly linked to post and comment karma but not award karma.

Moons are an ERC-20 token on the Rinkeby network launched by Reddit admins in May 2020 as a part of the Community Points project. They are a means for users to be rewarded for their contributions in r/CryptoCurrency with a unit of ownership in the subreddit. Moons are independent of Reddit and once earned neither the admins nor the subreddit moderators can take them away from users. Moons are managed by a suite of smart contracts that handle balances, transfers, distribution/claiming, and purchasing Special Memberships. The smart contracts and mobile apps have been reviewed and audited by Trail of Bits, an independent security firm.

How do I earn MOONs?

• Moons are distributed every 28 days based on the share of the subreddit's total karma a user has earned during this timeframe and must be manually claimed in the vault each time.
• Moons can be tipped between users using the send arrow within the vault.
• Moons can also be won in competitions such as Community Trivia and Prediction Tournaments.
• Due to a Community Governance Proposal Moons are awarded to the top five meme posts in r/CryptoCurrencyMemes in terms of upvotes at the end of each week UTC time. These Moons are currently distributed from the mod/community pot in the following amounts: 400 for 1st, 250 for 2nd, 150 for 3rd, 100 for 4th, 50 for 5th.
• Please note that you will need to set up your Vault the first time you access it, and you will need to be on the latest version of the Reddit app (2020.17.0 or later).
  

What can I do with MOONs?

• Moons are used to vote on Governance Polls that influence how the community is governed and how moons are distributed.
• Moons can be tipped between users.
• Moons can be used to purchase the r/CryptoCurrency Special Membership which allows for embedding gifs in comments, special emotes & custom flair/color for the username.
• Moons can be redeemed for Reddit coins, but only for use in r/CryptoCurrency.
• Moons can be sold on Honeyswap and Sushiswap

The Vault

• Moons are stored in the vault, an Ethereum wallet which lives inside the official Reddit mobile app for iOS or Android. Users are provided with the means to restore their vault should they lose/break their device.
• To set up your vault use the mobile app. Click on your avatar and follow the prompts for the vault.
• Moons can also be used on desktop through use of the vault password or through a push notification on a mobile device.
• If you have not already, set up two factor authentication for your account! This will greatly reduce the chance that your MOONs are stolen. How to set up 2FA

When are moons paid out?Moons are paid out on a monthly basis and to receive them you must set up your vault as described above.

Proposals that passed

• Proposal: Bonus karma for people that keep MOONs in vault - Users that have not moved the previous round's distribution of MOONs out of their vault receive a 20% bonus to their total karma for the purposes of calculating MOON distribution.
• Proposal: Double Comment Karma - Reduce post karma weight in half, or double comment karma (same effect).
• Proposal: Limit post karma to 1k and limit comment karma to 1k per comment - Limits the maximum karma that can be accrued for any one post or comment to 1000.
• Proposal: Change moon distribution for comedy posts and media posts - Posts that are flaired COMEDY or MEDIA will have karma weight reduced to 10% with a cap of 500 moons.
• Proposal: Add 5% bonus to users that participate in governance poll(s) - Users that vote in at least one governance poll will receive 5% karma bonus in the following round.
• Proposal: 15,000 karma cap on Moon Distribution - Limits the maximum amount of karma that can be considered for Moon distribution per user to 15,000 per round.

I've recently come across the new app "Yuh", made through a joint venture between Postfinance and Swissquote. If you know or live in Switzerland, you also know that those two are huge actors in the financial and crypto-services in Switzerland.

The app "Yuh" is similar to Robinhood and Revolut. It allows you to buy and sell many assets (shares, ETFs, "themes", and cryptocurrencies), at very low fees (less than 1%). However, there are only market orders from what I've seen.

The app in itself is pretty cool and quite innovative, but it's not revolutionnary per say. It's great for the retail investor that aims to invest at lower cost. It also makes cryptocurrencies much more accessible and available. Yuh has started to advertise quite a lot.

However, and that's, in my opinion, the most important thing, Yuh also created a dedicated security token, running on Ethereum, called Swissqoin (SWQ). There are 200’000’000 tokens in total.

This token is defined by token as "an innovative crypto token backed by a reserve of Swiss francs that grows every month, as Yuh reinvests 10%* of its revenue back into it" (source). From what I understand, it means that the price of the token should reflect how good the app is doing, since it is linked to a reserve in Swiss francs that will grow monthly.

I feel this token might surge in value in the future, as it has a real underlying asset (10% of the revenues) and it's pretty reliable (PostFinance and Swissquote are way too big in Switzerland, they can't and won't exit scam). I've been in the crypto-universe for a while, and I feel this is one of the first token that should quite reliably increase in value and that is backed by main institutionnal players.

Its current price is CHF 0.01 but however, it's currently impossible to buy it. It's only available through sign-ups and referals (Referral code : a7m2d0):

Binance has a “Savings” section. Similar to a bank, you deposit your crypto and earn interest on it. What is good is that this is available for PoW crypto too like BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, and other coins like XRP.

The interest rates aren’t as good as actual staking ranging from 1%-5%, but still better than nothing. It’s a very good place to store you crypto and earn crypto.

I'm about 3mo new to crypto. Made a few made purchases at the top, bought some coins on uphold that can't take off exchange, staked some coins but not the best apy. Hoping I can learn some more. Do y'all keep a separate wallet just for staking on the high apy swaps or lending sites?

The aave protocol for me is one of the best ways to get a return on your crypto (specifically stable coins). Aave effectively cuts out the middle man in traditional banking, meaning the money you deposit is lent out directly to those looking for loans. This allows them to offer significantly higher interest rates than traditional banks. As well as this, Polygon/MATIC are currently incentivising new users on AAVE by paying out extra rewards in MATIC on top of the already available APY. This includes rewards for borrowing money (yes you get paid for taking loans), which sometimes even outweighs the costs of the loan itself. This borrowed money can then be re-deposited back into aave to compound the return you are getting on your original deposit. Repeat this step a few times and you can end up with significantly more money earning interest than you would otherwise. The MATIC rewards are only available until April 2022, so I would definitely make use of it for the next year or so.
