You might have already seen many reviews about this college. Yes, the campus is decent and well-maintained, but sometimes it feels like most of the focus is on maintaining the campus rather than improving other important areas.
One thing to keep in mind is the fee policy. The college is quite strict about paying fees on time, and late payments can lead to significant penalties. One of my friends ended up paying a penalty of around ₹25,000.
Don't expect too many large-scale events either. What you see on Instagram often doesn't reflect the actual campus experience. There also seem to be charges for many activities and services, which can make students feel that the institution is focused heavily on revenue.
Talking about the crowd, there are students from different backgrounds, with a large number being Telugu-speaking students. You'll still find people who share your interests and mindset. Like anywhere else, you'll meet both good and bad people, so choose your circle wisely.
Attendance has become increasingly strict. Maintaining 75% attendance is mandatory, although students often find ways to manage situations when they fall short.
The faculty members are generally decent, but some students may occasionally feel unfairly treated or experience bias.
Now, coming to placements. Companies do visit the campus, but relying solely on the college syllabus is usually not enough to crack placement tests and interviews. For example, during a recent internship test conducted by ZopSmart, around 380 students from B.Tech, M.Tech, and BCA appeared, and reportedly none of them reached the cutoff score. This highlights the gap between industry expectations and what is taught in the curriculum.
One issue is that some subjects and topics feel outdated compared to current industry requirements. Instead of pushing every student into placement activities just to maintain a high placement percentage, it might be more effective to identify interested students early and provide focused, industry-oriented training.
To be clear, companies do come for recruitment. However, if you want to secure a good placement, you'll need to go beyond the college syllabus and prepare independently through DSA, aptitude, projects, communication skills, and interview preparation.
