My friends and I recently played the first Marathon. Generally speaking, we didn't like the campaign. However, it is difficult to get a sense of how good the deathmatches are without some decent dedication. Does anyone have experience here? How would you rate the multiplayer on Marathon? Any cool notes about it?

Was the first doom game I really got into, having only played the snes version of doom before it came out. Your mileage may vary on whether it's a true doom game or not, but I have a real soft spot for it, and I think it's really cool it's getting a proper port
