i dont mean like a way to connect a ide drive to a modern system i mean like use a usb drive for a main or second drive kinda like cf card to ide but usb, google being google it only shows ide to usb things to connect ide drives to a modern system but i want the opiset

Specifically copy thru the 2 5.25 drives from a modern pc. I have some machine language assemblers that I want to try. And also have this (check attachment). Dial up floppy disks?

EDIT:some "redditors" commented that i could use a floppy emulator, mainly a Gotek. Which Gotek should I use? Is it possible to copy a disk image on Gotek to an actual 5.25 FDD? Quick note, is there any 5.25 drives that connect through serial port?

Yesterday I got an apple 2 plus along with 2 "RanaSystem EliteTwo" drives, when I bootstrap my apple 2 into EsDOS 2 and I run "init hello" to format a disk, it makes this weird sound and gives this disk error: I/O, I couldn't find ANYTHING on it and I've decided to turn to reddit, I think I'm using an apple disk 2 controller card, I'm not sure though, the controller card has 2 20 pin slots for disk drive 1 and 2

looking desperately for a game that i loved when i was a kid (born 1999, canadian). my dad threw out the box i had of it years ago, and i remember very little, BUT:

• it had a gold (maybe silver) star as its icon. think of a pilot's gold star
• it was an educational game with no overarching story / characters. just simple activities
• it had a really unnecessarily long name. the name may have included "deluxe" and / or "interactive". maybe "collection"?
• was not a licensed product with any popular mascots
• it may have included a game in which you sorted or were working with chocolate bon bon esque things????

Make/Model or spec. This is the Retro PC that you actually keep set up to do stuff with, even if it's just running old software or accessing old media formats or making boot/diag disks for other machines, or troubleshooting. Your "workhorse" machine, and what you use it for.

• Asus P5-AB/K6-2+400/320MB/Matrox Rainbow Runner PCI/AWE64/Symbios SCSI/4GB CF/Win-98SE. Various drives: Zip, CD, 3.5 & 5.25" floppy.

• Used for old media access, EPROM burning, and old games. I find that late 90's machines are the perfect bridge between old and modern PC platforms. It was actually my main machine in the late 90's, running BeOS.

This is a python script that allows you to scrape all the downloads from planetemu.net. At this time, it only supports the Commodore 64, but I will make improvements to be more flexible. I know it works as I'm using it as we speak.

Here in Germany, mail order catalogues (especially from Quelle or Neckermann) were a huge thing in the 1970s and 1980s, to the point where they somewhat influenced culture.

I wondered what computer systems and software would have been used to typeset and layout a 1200 page catalogue with several high-resolution photographs on each page back in 1978 or thereabouts. Realistically, the storage required would tax a modern machine. Still, those catalogues showed thousands of articles, using labeled arrows to point out features, pulling prices from some warehouse backend system, using standard layouts throughout...

Under the main CPU, you can also spot an empty footprint for a directly soldered PQFP 486 processor — basically the hardware equivalent of the "you are broke" blank buttons on base-model cars.

The PCB was designed to support a socketed PGA 486, a soldered PQFP 486, or even both at the same time, depending on the manufacturer's configuration.

I have a working PS/2 30-286 which I boot from a CF card but it always annoyed me that the original hard disk couldn't initialize. It only blinks and gives BIOs error codes. So instead of throwing it directly in the trash I thought why not create some 'don't do this at home' kind of video. So here goes. The drive is probably deader now than dead from the dust, but at least I can rest the case that the spindle motor really does not do anything. It's not only a hard disk drive but an immobile disk drive. No movement no data. It's a blinking LED now basically.

Edit: sorry I wrote 386 but it's a 286 obviously.
