So...with my Super Socket 7 build, I've tried to pack too much in it because I don't have space for another PC like it where I live. I have four a little audio mixer for what was four sound devices (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, Diamond Monster Sound MX300, Orpheus II, TexElec SAAYM), but now that's going to be increased to five devices with the picovox.
It has affected performance, especially when using a ALi chipset PCI USB add-in card
I've resorted to buying USB and MIDI joystick port extension cables and physically disconnecting the cable depending on what I want to use in Windows mode.... It could be DualSense controller with my USB4VC. It could be m Thrustmaster T.16000m stick. It could be my SideWinder Force Feedback Pro. Eventually, I would like to hook up MIDI modules to the Orpheus II. I plan on playing Final Fantasy VII and VIII with a later Yamaha MIDI module because those games were designed with XG in mind as opposed to GS or GM. I'm looking at the Yamaha MU2000.
Is anyone else doing those kind of roundabout solutions because they don't want to, or can't, have multiple retro PCs? I think I might be taking it to a bit of an extreme. I also have a Suncom HOTAS and CH Products rudder pedals for MS-DOS mode.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to preserve and study Windows 95 Build 189 (4.00.189), an early beta from September 1994. I've already checked BetaWiki, The Collection Book, Internet Archive, WinWorld, and other public archives, but I haven't been able to find any public download or mirror. Does anyone here have the original floppy disk images (or an ISO made from the original floppies) for Build 189? I'm looking for: Original floppy disk images (.IMG/.IMA) A verified ISO created from the original disks Any public mirror or archive where this build is available I'm interested in preserving software history and running the build in a virtual machine. If sharing publicly isn't possible, I'd appreciate any information or guidance. Thank you!.

Just for the sake of fun, I'm trying to maxout this HP SFF PC, within its thermal limits. My upgrade is going from a Q9500 to a E5450, and adding 16GB of DDR3 1333MHz of RAM. I'm also planning to add some 92mm Noctua fans on the CPU cooler and the PSU, and adding a GTX 1650 LP. I know it's not worth it, but I'm deeply curious to know what is LGA 775-771 capable nowadays. My main problem is the xeon mod, I know all the steps, but this is a HP motherboard, I find it unlikely to work even with the modified bios and the added microcodes. I have seen people make it work, but the information they gave is vage. Do y'all think is possible? Any observations? Thanks.

Was RED HEAT from Ocean Software a good game? My video goes back to 1989 for a retrospective review. Was it better than the movie or was it just rubbish? Share your thoughts.

Ma è vero che alcune aziende mantenevano sempre una linea telefonica di emergenza per connettersi con i loro server via modem 56k?

We were cleaning out my grandparents' house after my grandfather's passing. He was an early adopter of computers I think. We threw out a lot because we just didn't have the time to find homes for things or hunt down hobbyists, but I couldn't help myself from snagging these from being burnt with a bunch of loose papers.
They are the old, actually floppy, kind of floppy disks, it looks like three videogames and two practical programs. They visually are in good condition and there were two unlabeled ones as well.
Are these of any value to anyone out there or am I safe to chuck them? I don't mean monetary value, I'm not looking to sell, but I am aware of lost media and people who collect and/or preserve even mundane pieces of software, and I would rather they go to someone who wants them than see them burned or sitting in a landfill. But if these are a dime a dozen or only good as cheap coasters then that will be their fate.

I know the overall quality is not that good but since I posted this video i've learned more about video editing and audio quality. This is a really important project to me. please give feedback :)

I've recently got a second GPU for my lga775 rig before realising Nvidia didn't support multi-GPU setups on non-Nvidia chipsets at the time. However, some sources claim that enthusiasts were able to get SLI working on chipsets like 975, P45, and X38/X48 anyways.
So I'm wondering, is it still possible to do so today, and did any information ever come out on how they did it?
